Mel! You so got me for most of it! Little sneak...lol! I was like OMG I cant believe this is happening...I could imagine Shayla doing it just to keep Nick attached to her but Alyysa agreeing totally threw me off! I think Nick would so go for it...I know Shayla betrayed and lied to him but c'mon two HOT girls that he was attracted to offering to have a threesome with him...its any guys fantasy including Nick! Good job Mel! Now to the true part of the chapter, I cant believe Sean finally got deployed! The timing sucks just because Alyssa just cheated on him which is going to make her feel even more guilty plus she isnt pregnant with his baby either...but at the same time its going to give her a chance to take time to fix everything with Nick, hopefully! I agree with Sean, that Alyssa is pregnant already but not with his baby but Nick's! Cant wait to see if my prediction is correct... Great work!

I'm glad that you appreciate my sick twisted sense of humor. Yea Alyssa would never do it, but I think Nick woud. A lot of readers were like Nahh he wouldn't but he's such a pervy guy deep down. He's no angel!

I totally didnt expect Alyssa to walk out before speaking to Nick about what occurred the morning after... the girl she is becoming seems like she would of maybe stuck around to clarify their situation. But then again, if I were in her situation, I probably would of done the exact same thing she did... at least to give herself time to think everything out... plus shes also feeling REALLY guilty, so it might of caused her to say things to Nick that she didnt mean. Now I know Sean loves her and in some way she loves him too, but they just dont have the connection and spark that Alyssa and Nick share... and after feeling it again the other night I dont think Sean and Alyssa are going to be able to salvage their marriage... Great job as always Mel!
Author's Response: Yea Alyssa has changed a lot but I could still see her not being able to help but to freak once it really sunk in what had happened and have the instinct to run. You're right. She DOES need time to sort out her feelings. And yea I think its pretty obvious at this point that her connection w/ Sean is nothing next to what she has with Nick.

Author's Response: Yea ditto here... One of my best friends dated a guy in the Air Force who was over in Afghanistan and just remebering the things she went through I don't think I could do it. I definitely wanted to show that negative side of war, like the effect it has on families and such. Haha Yea Diane was fun to write as the bitchy publicist. She's easy to hate, but it's her job to worry about those things unfortunately.

Loved the first part of the chapter, too. Wouldn't it be awesome if Alyssa was pregnant, Sean comes home and they actually go to get their test-results and find out that Sean can't have children?? =) Can't wait for the next chapter! =)
Author's Response: Yea... Shayla isn't exactly the compromising type anyway. And I can't see Alyssa being cool with that. I'm surprised so many readers think Nick wouldn't go for it although I'm sure Shayla's lies to him plays a part in that. Otherwise I can see Nick being all for it in his craziest dreams LOL. Yea trust me I wouldn't go down that road LOL I may have some crazy stuff planned, but not THAT crazy lol That's just completely out of character. I wanted to do something for April Fools day though, so this was the best I could think of. And no Shayla does not really go and visit Alyssa. That was part of the dream/fantasy because it led up to the HOW it happened. The only REAL part was Sean being deploued to Iraq. I figured I'd give you a LITTLE dose of realty lol

Author's Response: Yea I think it got to the point where you guys had to have been Uhmm ok this cannot be for real! Alyssa probably would not be as willing to admit what happened between her and Nick to Shayla. It was good to write though because it forced me to be ridiculous so hopefully in future Alyssa/ Shayla scenes I won't go too Desperate Housewives lol. It IS a total guy dream though. Over the top and everything. Glad you enjoyed it.

Mel! I am like 3 ch. behind which has never happened before, stupid work and school for keeping me busy, but im here now...lol.. As soon as I read the whole wet clothes part i knew some sort of hooking up had to occur...and Yay they finally did! And it was totally awesome from where they did it to the whole situtaion... major props! But they were also different from before, theyve grown... like Nick was very concerned for Alyssa not necessarily in just satisfying her physically but also being there as someone she could talk to... not the Nick we knew in UMS...Alyssa also finally let go and just went with it which I should of seen coming since she so much more confident and stronger in general than in UMS... Im freaking out to see what is going to happen the morning after... are they going to continue with an affair? are they going to tell Sean? So many questions...oh is Alyssa going to be preggers now with Nicks baby? Awesome job as always Mel!
Author's Response: It's okay Thia! It totally happens. School and work have been kicking my ass too, so don't feel so bad. Thank you SOOOO much for the review. I'm really glad that you enjoyed it because it was like one of the most important chapters so far. I'm glad that you notice the changes in Alyssa and Nick because you are dead on in everythng you say. I did a lot of delibrate things to show how much they've both grown in their time apart. I've said many of times I'm REALLY trying to strengthen Alyssa as a character and as the story goes on you'll see her do and say things that you'd never expect her to too. What happens next? You'll have to keep reading, but I can tell you this much. There's going to be a lot of heavy emotional stuff up ahead before they hook up again.

lmao Mel, I loved every word! That was brilliant!! Poor Nick, waking up before his dream got to the good part, haha! That sucks that Sean is gone to Iraq now. I mean I guess it's good that he's away. (Of course not good that he's in Iraq... just away in general) Perhaps him being gone will give Alyssa a chance to sort out her feelings. Absence makes the heart grow fonder... and stuff like that. Sean is REALLY deployed to Iraq now, so we'll see what effect that has on Alyssa. It could be a good thing for her. One less thing to worry about. It could also give her more freedom to get into trouble though.
