Really good chappie. Personally I do think Shayla got pregnant on purpose "accidentaly forgetting to take the pill", to make sure Nick wouldn't even think of leaving her for Alyssa, damn poor Nick, but so far he seems to be making the best decision. That dream he had, is very cute yet very sad. Now Alyssa may have a chance to get pregnant, let's hope so. This is getting better and better, I hope you update asap! Great job :D
Author's Response: Yay someone else commented on my dream! Lol I was writing it and I was like OMG Nick with a daughter is SOOO weird for me lol. You'll have to wait and see what the deal with Shayla is, but I'm enjoying hearing everyone's opinion. I'm glad that I'm sucking you in. I wish I could start the chapter right now, but I should be outlining my reading for class tomorrow night. I have a feeling my prof is going to check it. :(

hehehe great chapter, totally unexpected! Anyways even if Shayla is pregnant (wich I doubt) who says it's Nick? She is in clubs so many times.... If she wants to hold on to Nick well what's more handy then trick him, even if it isn't his LOL. Just gotte hold on till the next chapters!

I forgot to comment on something.... In addition to having me gasp outloud (while I'm at the office) I almost cried when I read Nick's dream! It was so touching and well written, I almost felt bad for him (and almost is definitely a big step from me) lol
Author's Response: Ooh you were the ONLY one who commented on the dream! I was like very surprised that everyone else seemed to just glide right past it. I thought for sure it would raise a lot of questions or at least people going Oh yea... What DID happen to Katie and Serena? It wiill slowly be revealed throughout the story.

Poor Alyssa, though. I really felt my heart breaking for her when he told her, when she was already emotionally crippled by telling him they couldn't be friends! (of course Izzy was right! lol)
And I literally gasped when she used Kevin's name to get ahead ! lol

MEL!!!!!! Don't bring yourself down so much ! As I,ve told you many times, some people love to read a story that feels real and that feels as though it could happen to you or any one of your friends . Pretty perfect things are fun in the short-term commitment (like a short story) but in the long run people WANT (I think) angst and cheating and what not... that's why soap operas are so popular !
Anyway, you know I am against cheating and have threatened NIck with violence on more than one occasion (in UMS and in this one)... But I would NEVER give up your story. I am against murder, stealing babies and all those things, but I still enjoy movies and book that talks about it !

OMG! I refuse to beleive that Shayla is pregnant! She has to be lying! Because we know that would make it 99%impossible for Nick and Alyssa to be together! I think she's just trying to keep Nick with her any way she can because she sees him slipping from her and probably back to Alyssa. I so thought Nick and Alyssa were going to run into eachother at the condo! But then again if they had I think Nick wouldn't have said anything bout the pregnancy to her and something might of happened between them and everything would of just gotten more screwed up between them. It didn't take long for them to realize that they can't be just friends, and it is not just because of the history between them, but because they still love eachother, now I just need to wait for them to figure it out, lol! I don't dislike Sean but it annoyed me how he didn't really want to seek help in getting pregnant. If he really wants a child before being deployed he should be supporting Alyssa with any solutions she finds instead of putting a strain on their relationship due to the pressure that they can't get pregnant! Great update as always Mel and can't wait to see what Shayla is up to!

Isn't it convienent that she's pregnant right after she suspects that Alyssa and Nick have something going on? LOl I admit I did throw Nick running to the condo just to screw with you guys a bit lol (Yea I know I'm mean lol) About Sean I'm not sure if he's being unsupportive or maybe he's just reluctant because he has a bad feeling they might find something wrong?

Hmmm interesting. So Shayla's pregnant eh? I find that oddly suspicious, there's got to be more to it. Either she's lying or she stopped taking her pills, both of which are pretty lame. Sean also kind of irritates me. He really doesn't seem too gung ho about the whole fertility test idea. They may as well try, you know? And Alyssa now says she and Nick can't be friends... yeah, I wonder how long that'll last until they bump into each other at the condo. *rollseyes* Hehehe.. this is really good Mel!
