Maybe it's just me, but I'm REALLY starting to get annoyed with Mazi. I think it's time she put her Big Girl pants on and deal with everything head on. All this weeny "I dunno what I'm feeling" stuff has gone on long enough & now she's just starting to be a real pain in the ass. ;o)

great update. gosh that was intense. I dont think I would even look at jake again after all that. bah.
just a word of advice or maybe its really just me but when you write really long sections like the one at the beginning sorta it might help to split it into two smaller paragraphs to be easier to read cause sometimes I just skip over it.
but again might just be me. otherwise great job. cant wait for more.

LOL...I have been battling long paragraphs my entire life, so it's funny that you mentioned it! Once I get on a roll, it's hard for me to stop, and hard for me to seperate events. As a writer, this is definitely one of my weaknesses and I am working on it! But, please try to read it, even if it is a million miles long, I wouldn't want you to miss anything and often times, something major is hidden in a paragraph like that!
It was intense to write, when I got going on the argument, I don't think I looked away from my screen until I was finished, and then I got to the end and I was like "how am I suppose to end this?" I think Quinn finally was able to see the impact Jake was having on Nick and is starting to understand that her continued interaction is not only hard on Nick and her relationship with him, but unhealthy in general (thanks to Riley).

wow that was long but very good. I loved how much detail you put into how Nick was feeling, amazing! The ending was my favorite! And yes I want to see Nick beat the shit outta Jake please please for me haha

YAY!!!!!!!! I had a huge feeling that when she made her way back into the bedroom that Nick was going to be there and you didn't disapoint!! Loved that whole scene because they know they have problems but for that night they just needed to closeness and that's important after being apart for so long.
I know that isn't going to last though! It makes me very sad :( Even though the piccies can be explained on Quinns part I'm sure Nick is going to feel that by hanging out with Jake is leading him on. I just hope he doesn't go down the route of you can't see him because I don't see Quinn going for it! Trouble ahead!
Well lady the baton is now back to you as I have just updated NER NER!!!!! But does Adie find her way to Nick or has she left again? I'm not sure whether you find out in this chapter either!!!

Nick has jealousy issues, especially when it comes to Jake. I am so so so happy that you updated!!! I have been checking back daily to see if you had updated this story and you finally did.
This was a good chapter and I can now understand how its getting harder for you to update. These chapters are getting intense and I love it! These characters are not only evolving together but separately as well. Their love for one another (even though Quinn hasn't said it yet) is endearing.
I hope that things start to look up for them. Even though Quinn got fired, all of those contracts will be a good thing for her. Its a start of a new era for her and hopefully her relationship with Nick. Now Nick is progressing really well. We are seeing a new side of him and his insecurities and it is great. I am glad that he did go to her house at the end. They both needed each other, even if it is just to cuddle or talk. I do have to admit, my favorite part in this story was by far Quinn tripping on his shoes, that was just hilarious!!
As usual this was a great update and I can't wait to see the next chapter. Hopefully you won't have much trouble writing the next one. Hurry back with the next update!

Hi Brittany, so sorry to keep you waiting so long! You are spot on with your reasoning behind why it is getting more and more difficult to write this...the characters are going through tons of changes right now. I am not sure where I said this, but the bulk of the first part of Casual focused heavily on Quinn and her issues, where this last bit really puts us in Nick's mind and his issues. The conflict in the beginning was an internal one that Quinn was having, Nick just played the role of supportive whatever he was to her, but as things have changed, it's not enough...emotions are running high and he has a ton of baggage that is going to rear it's head. It's already obvious he has major jealousy issues, insecurity, low self-esteem, etc...all of these things that can be tough to deal with and he is being forced to face them.
Thanks again for the wonderful, detailed review! There isn't a ton left to go, but what remains is going to be quite a roller coaster! Have a great day!!!

It took forever to get this chapter out...there's just so much to stay! Nick needed to go "home"...which is ironic after everything that Quinn's house is home, or, Quinn is home.
