I have to say at first I was slighty out raged that Nick didn't wake her to say goodbye. Then when I read the rest I just wanted to give him the biggest hug!
It's got to be so hard to be that in love with someone and not know for sure whether they feel the same about you. I mean I think he does know but she isn't telling him and I think it has made him so insecure about himself. She needs to come clean to him! Great update Lady!

This was a very informative chapter, I liked it. It didn't have very much "talking" going on but thats okay sometimes you need chapters that give you information before you can get to the "talking" part.
I like the way Nick left. I wasn't sure how you were going to do that but I am very happy that he didn't wake her. It shows that you can say alot by writing one simple sentence to someone instead of having to talk to them. Sometimes all you need is simplicity.
The way Quinn reacted to Nick not waking her and leaving with saying goodbye really tore at my heart strings. She is finally showing more emotions when Nick isn't around and I hope that she realizes that she does love him and she shouldn't be afraid to say I love you to him. Her finding the NASCAR jacket was a cute touch too.
I hope Nick does keep his word and talk to AJ, hopefully AJ talks some sence into him and is able to help him. I can't wait to see what you have coming up in the next few chapters while Nick is touring. It should be interesting when Quinn comes to visit. Update soon!

Honestly, I wasn't quite sure how this chapter was going to go...and the last one didn't go the way I had thought it would originally so I had to improvise here because of that. Nick's last night was supposed to have the "you can say it" dialouge in it, but when I started writing it, Nick came off much more emotional and messed up than I had planned, so obviously, the last part was not in my original plan. And with this chapter, I had to explain why he had reacted the way he had the night before and go inside of his head a bit so you guys could see where he's at. Although we know Nick loves Quinn, we don't know much about his baggage. He has alluded it to it here and there throughout the story, but everything going on between him and Quinn is causing it to come out. Things are going to get interesting with him being gone and so many things flying through both of them.
There was no way I could follow up on the last chapter with an emotional goodbye, so I stuck with the aftermath. There was nothing Nick could have said in saying goodbye, so he took the least painful way out of the situation for Quinn. Granted, she was hurt at the way he left, but what could he have said to make it better. If he had been standing in front of her it would have been worse for her...and him. As it was, the whole night was pretty grueling for Nick...very emotional.
There is so much more to come, and I wish I could just tell you all of it but I don't want to spoil it for you! I love your detailed reviews! Thanks again!

I am so proud of you.....this is like a record....you haven't updated so quickly in a long time!
I feel so bad for Nick here. My heart is just breaking for him. To be so unsure of how the person you love the most feels about you, can't possibly feel good.
I feel for Quinn too, because not being able to admit your own feelings to yourself....has to feel like you have a total lack of control over your self. Even though, by not admitting it, she somehow thinks she is keepig control....
I am looking forward to the coming chapters.......and of course....you are going to have to give me the sequel!

I know, I have been a big old slacker! My last few chapters have been long and emotional, so when I finish them, I need a break for a while. Oddly, once I get going I knock them out really quickly, I started this one Tuesday night, I think. We are entering into a new phase of the story right now, we have seen all of Quinn issues but Nick's are starting to surface, this chapter was Nick's...we finally got into his head and were able to see where he was coming from...and Quinn is a wreck, but she is making progress!!! More to come, as you know. At this very moment, I want to throw Nick and Quinn away after this story because they are DRAINING! I hope all is well with you, it's been a while since we chatted! As far as a sequel goes...not sure yet. I have the bones of one planned out in my mind but I will definitely give myself a break before I get into it. I love Nick and Quinn in Casual, but I don't want them to become watered down versions of themselves because I do too much with them if that makes sense. I haven't completely thrown the idea out, but I am not completely on board with it either, if that makes sense. I do have another idea that I may play with and a couple of old things that I may rework.
