this chapter was a lot less depressing than I thought it was going to be. I am proud of Quinn for opening up as much as she did, and I am also proud of Nick for not totally caving into her.
I love the column. It lets us see what is going on in her head that she isn't saying out loud. It lets us see that Quinn and Nick are a WE.....
I hope Nick reads this column!

Brandy, nobody wants this story to get out of depressing more than I do...trust me!!! I have been struggling a lot lately because it is hard to write this angsty hoopla. And, Quinn is part of me, so in a way, what is going on with her impacts me, if that makes sense at all. I think we are going to see a movement forward, but there is still more drama to come...like I said in my notes, we are just over the half way mark, so there is a lot more to come!!! The columns are somewhat theraputic for me to write because I just get to ramble basically my thoughts on the situation, and how I would probably be if I was in it, plus, it is an easy way to shed some light on what is going on in Quinn's head.

Author's Response: I can promise you it won't end EXACTLY like that...but you are in for a treat...and so you know, there will be more than one story, Casual isn't the last you will see of Nick and Quinn. I have actually been thinking about redoing some of my older stories and posting them here. oh wow. that was a really good column. everyrthing she said about together is exactly how Ive been thinking the last week. Like you know you want to be with this person but do you really wannna change everything in your life and make your lives as one. its a weird balance to try and find. loved this update. cant wait for more. i cant believe theres so much more. yay.

Thanks, Mary! I am so glad you liked this column, for some reason, this one was the hardest to write, my original thought on what it would be got chucked completely when that last line Quinn said came out of my fingers. I actually had it almost finished last night, but it was too choppy and all over the map so I came up with the beginning ths morning.
I know, when I first started writing this story I had no idea that it would be this long or I would have so many ideas...there is A LOT more to come with Nick and Quinn...but I think it might end up being very different than what you guys would expect!

Awesome job with the column Darby! I REALLY missed her columns since we haven't had one in a while. I think it really made a big difference in this chapter. We've talked about how lately Quinn has been pissing people off (you included lol) and I think it was hard cuz we weren't getting that inner monologue from her. At the end of her conversation w/ Nick I wanted to like slam her into a wall or something, but her column definitely redeems her because it shows that deep down she actually does feel more for Nick and it frightens her to her core. Excellent work, my dear! So insightful! I am envious lol

So I am FINALLY getting around to reading and reviewing. I am SOOO sorry for the delay. This chapter turned out pretty awesome after all! I didn't get to see the ending which i thought was like REALLY aww... I loved the fact that Nick took care of her and everything. He really is SOOO hooked. I also as dumb as it sounds LOVED the fact that underneath her clothes she has on this sexy underwear and then rainbow striped socks LOL. It shows that she really is a lot more down to earth than the projection of herself that she shows on the outside, so I thought that was pretty cool.
Now I agree that Quinn and Nick need to talk things out more than ever, but I have a bad feeling that Quinn may let her guard get in the way once Nick does tell her that he loves her. Guess we'll have to see!

As far as the socks/panties go...we are seeing different sides to Quinn, and there are a lot of things about her that we are learning...so you picked up on what I was trying to do with that!!!
