WOW!! I thought he was going to scream at her, and maybe make a huge scene, but let me tell you, that attitude of indiference, like he didn't care, I think that killed her more than any fight. But that was her own fault, all the mess they're in. Anyways, I hope they get to talk and maybe fix things, they make a wonderful couple, or whatever the heck they where.LOL! Pleaseeee update soon. OMG!!! is all I can say. So sad! I understand why they both feel the way they do, though. In a way this story's pretty refreshing because Nick is always cast as the type who can't explain his feelings and can't explain what he's done, but here he's the open and vulnerable one. It's nice.

Ugh, what a mess! I feel really bad for Quinn, she clearly so confused and stressed out about the situation, and I could really relate to her when she was analyzing her phonecall with Nick. Thinking of his tone of voice, and the way he didn't use a petname for her which caused her to know that he was upset. I hate that calm before the storm feeling, argh. You could just feel the tension when she was having her conversation with Nick, though I can understand where he would also be upset. Great chapter, Darby! A nice treat for a Friday afternoon :o)

I am so glad you liked it, this came out a lot differently than I thought it would, at first, it wasn't going to be THIS big of a deal, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it had to be. Like anyone would be able to blow something like this off, Nick would be a doormat if he did!!! Quinn isn't really the victim here, but your heart goes out to her, she is so self-destructive and it is reaping havoc on her life...and now Nick's. We have so much ahead of us! Okay so I know I've already read this but I wanted to re-read it! Okay so few things about this chapter that I liked.
1. Quinn's guilt over what happened
2. Riley's sisterly reaction over it
3. Quinn's reaction to Nick performing
4. Nick's friends feeling a little awkward around her.
5. Nick's sort of devoid attitude until they were alone. Reminds me alot of the way he'd act towards Paris when she'd hurt him (sensing a major defense mechanism there probably stemming from his family.)
6. Quinn hiding her pain until she was away from him. It really tells in spades that she's very self conscious of her own emotions and so she doesn't show them. Just like Riley had never seen her cry til this chapter. I doubt Nick's going to see her cry for quite some time.
Quinn reminds me alot of myself and a certain character of mine too. The closer someone is to her heart, the harder it is for her to show her emotions and vulnerability to them. Major defense mechanism there too!
Awesome chapter sweets! I know a bit different than how you planned it but it's really realistic this way. And I love it!

Great update Darby! So sorry it took me so long to read/review, but I really do love Nick and Quinn :) The scene with them waking up on the pool table was classic! I loved that, and the flashback was awesome, you can definitely tell that Nick and Quinn have real chemistry. As always, I loved the blog so I was excited to see that this update. I can sense some major drama ahead =P As always I am excited for the next update.. something to read during boring lectures! :o)

You know, there's A LOT of fanfics out there-and I read anything and everything. But, there are the rare handful of them that actually "bother" me-and I mean that in a good way, if that's possible. They bother me because I swear that the author is writing bits and pieces of my life. I mean, obviously, I haven't slept with Nick, LOL, I should be so lucky. But, it's the things like Quinn's column-especially the last one-that have me in tears. It takes a really good writer for a complete stranger to find herself in. I don't know if that makes sense. Anyway, amazing, as usual. Please update soon.

I am glad that Quinn is a relatable character, at first, I was worried that she wouldn't be because her life appeared to be so good that it seemed a little unrealistic. In all honestly, Quinn is a lot of me, with a few bits and pieces of my girlfriends thrown in. I have worried a lot that she would be unlikeable because of some of the things that she does, so the fact that you can relate to her and understand that she isn't some evil person out to hurt Nick means a lot. Beautiful job hon! Their reactions to waking up and finding themselves in the position they did was simply hilarious and I loved how Quinn handled those two bitches with the kind of class that only she can. The morning after conversation... Definitely awkward, but awkward in a good way and very open to interpretation. And of course I loved her column. I missed her columns. And the fact that she was listening to Lit My Own Worst Enemy? Perfection! I loved it!
