Author's Response: well, we know why Brian chose Nick. So far, Kristin only said it was because that was were she thought Mason would be the safest from Kevin. After all, the man has issues.
But she has also had time to see how Nick responds to Baylee. And in a past chapter, Mason made mention that even him and Kristin didn't like Kevin's behavior towards Nick and that they thought Nick was a fine guardian. But, it's like if Kevin decided to get clean, he could regain custody of Mason. I am glad that you felt the emotion of the chapter. thank you for your review.

Wait...wasn't she just talking to Nick like two minutes ago? I thought Nick took Morgan home, and the kids seem very mature for their age, but it's a good story so far, I just started reading it and I like the idea.
Author's Response: Nick talked to her about Mason's custody. Then he came and talked to the kids. Baylee and Morgan stayed in the lobby while Nick took Mason up to see his mom. she passed while they were up there because they came back to the lobby and told Morgan and Baylee. Does that help clear it up? lol. I must not have wrote it as clear as I thought I did, sorry!

Nick is still in possesion of it, so Baylee can't really read it right now, lol. And yes, the guys took Brian's journal really well. Everyone seems to think that Morgan and Baylee are cute together...I wanted to give thier friendship that kind of depth and I am happy that it is coming across that way.
