Author's Response: I am normally a romance writter...and my character of choice is most often AJ, but I have been trying to think out of my box, lately. Life According to Baylee and Protection are my best efforts at this. Both seem to be liked, so I guess, I'm not doing too awful bad, lol. It's been interesting on my part, tho...I have re-written chapters several times to get them to sound right. *rolls eyes* 8-/

Awww Nick standing up to Kevin over the life jacket was awesome! Go Nick, woo!! Haha. He is proving himself more and more to Brian that he should be the guardian without ever realizing it. Awww... Oh and the sledding? Freakin hilarious! Howie hitting the tree totally cracked me up! Great job darlin!

ok, i read this before but now i feel compelled to review.
i that the whole snowball fight was cute and i loved the moose (i've lived up here for almost 15 years and only saw 2 but they were HUGE)! i couldn't stop laughing until i got to the part with Mason. he'd be like, almost 12, right? that made me so sad. i like how Mason reacted i'd do the same thing...actually i have. Someone should call Social Services on Kevin. Seriously, he doesn't diserve to be a father! all in all i really loved it. you have an amazing way with words. Please, update soon!?
Author's Response: *whistful sigh* aaaaaw, thank you so much. I am originally from NH and I spent a bit of time up there in Maine when I was a kid. It really beautiful up there! And, I have seen a few moose in my day...up close, a couple times! Amazing animals!

Everyone was all like 'he's jealous' but I think everyone overlooked the fact that he treated Brian poorly too...so this issue existed when Brian was still alive. anyways, thanks for sending my your opinions and stuff. *muah*

I can't believe it! Kevin is the one that got him hooked on drugs?!?! I wonder if Brian somehow knew...I really thought it was an abusive thing towards Mason...and would Nick seriously get custody of Mason if he got taken away....I'm still curious as to what REALLY pushed Brian over the edge and make himc cross Kevin off, I know because of parenting styles, but I think there's more to it...Agh! I hope you update soon!!!! In the mean time back to studying...
