Wait, can Nick and Brian trust Valerie? What if she's one of the bad cops that trying to cover up Nick's murder? I love how the story kept me guessing.

Author's Response:

Your reviews have been fantastic, really! All of the things I had hoped to accomplish with this story I feel like I have when reading them.

Valerie is not a ghost! yay! i like the sound of that. I could picture out Valerie's face when Josh showed Nick's picture to her. Poor girl. lol

Author's Response:

Yeah I imagine that would have been a bit of an awkward moment! :P

Oh my goodness! this is my favorite chapter so far... Is Valerie still alive or she's a ghost, too. How could she see Nick? I mean, yes, some people can see ghost but can't she determine a ghost from alive person? LOL I love their conversation, if Nick is still alive, I bet she would be his love interest. Great chapter! :)

Author's Response:

I wanted Valerie to be very mysterious, so I'm glad I managed to capture that. I knew going in that there couldn't really be a romance sub-plot because of the whole "being dead" thing lol But I felt that Valerie needed to have a personality that was compatible to Nick's.

a Frick and Frack moment! their conversation is bittersweet. You can feel the love they have for each other. And LOL at Casper going home at the end of the movie. Proud of Nick for following rules now.

I didnt expect Toni to still be alive. Did she intentionally brought Nick to the situation? That girl should have died instead of Nick.

Author's Response:

In Toni's situation it was one of those "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" kind of situations. Once they had killed Nick, it was pretty much off the table to do anything to Toni. That would bring way too much attention to them. Instead they kept her as close as possible to keep an eye on her.

I love the drama! Nick was so right about it. He sacrificed a lot to help Brian solve the case. The least Brian could do is try his best to help him. Too bad AJ can't see Nick, it would have been fun see him freak out.

And Nick remembered having the list the bad guys were talking about. I am just on chapter 6, I never expected Nick would have remember everything so fast. I wonder what would happen with him and Brian while trying to get the justice he deserves.

Great job, Julilly! I therefore conclude I cannot go into your head. I cannot predict what will happen next. You are surprising me with the turn of events.

Author's Response:

Yay, you were still in suspense! haha I don't tend to draw things out too long because my stories typically aren't more than 15-25 chapters on average. So for me, Nick finding getting his memories back quickly was pretty normal. I try not to have too many fluffy filler chapters. :)

Oh my goodness! Poor Nick... suffered a lot because of his good-for-nothing-ex-girlfriend. she cheated on him and now she had the nerve to involve Nick with her crazy and dangerous situation.

You wrote in a very detailed pattern. I could almost see Nick and the guys in front of me as they were hurting Nick (which is not a good view). If I didn't know Nick was already dead, I would hope that he would escape or something. You made it look somehow that there was still hope for Nick. Your narratives are great. It was not boring. You don't use to many words and yet the message come across.

Author's Response:

This was one of my favourite chapters. That might be morbid but I was really happy with how it turned out. I'm so happy to hear that other people were able to see what I was seeing in my head!

whoa! a Library that keeps the deceased persons' memories. This is a very unique idea and an awesome one. All the pain, regrets and heartaches will be taken away from you so you will the enjoy and just be happy in afterlife. And I love when Flora explained to Nick about the others who sent information from the other side to their families to end the suffering.

I hope Nick finds the answer. After all, he is sacrificing a lot to know the truth.

The plot of this story may have been used before but you are a great writer with unique ideas, Julilly. :)

Author's Response:

I really have no idea where I came up with the idea for the library. When I first started writing this story it all came to me very quickly then I ran out of ideas just as quickly and it took me years to finish lol Glad you've enjoyed it to this point!

This is a light but very informative chapter. Now, Nicky's girlfriend is suspicious. Can't wait to find out what happens next. If AJ and the rest of the guys can see Nick, or it would just be Brian and the dog. lol

The flashback of what happened to Nick through Kevin's eyes is great. It was explained clearly and makes you understand what Brian feels. He didn't just lose a friend, but what he saw that night he went to see Nick's body kept him from moving on.

The frick and frack moment was hilarious. Brian wished that Nick was still alive but when he saw him he was like "you're dead!"lol But it's understandable since he just saw a ghost. Anyone would freak out. And I thought Nick didn't know he's dead already. You got me on that joke too. :)

Author's Response:

I don't know how this story ended up having that comedy edge to it but once I started adding in those little Frick and Frack moments I didn't want to stop. I really felt as though it kept the story light and not bogged down by the more serious sections.

This is a nice start, telling the readers when, where and why Brian thought of finding the killer himself. Reading the summary, I expected the first chapter as flashback of what happened the day/night Brian's friend died or Brian already started his mission. I feel for Brian, it is not yet the right time to celebrate or pretend that everything's ok. Only a year has passed, they should all still be mending a broken heart.

Author's Response:

WOW! I woke up to a lot of reviews this morning lol I will now begin the process of replying. The reason I didn't launch right into it was that I wanted there to be some level of suspense as to who it was that was killed. The banner makes it obvious, I'm sure, but I didn't want to reveal that it was Nick until the end of the prologue.

Quiet day in work today so I decided to re-read this story as I love it so much.

Bit of a mistake reading in work though as I cried at my desk. I thought having read it already that I would be able to hold back the tears, but I couldn't!

Really, really enjoyed this just as much as the first time :)

Author's Response: Thanks! :) Sorry I made you cry at work though lol

"What they did get to choose was what kind of person they left the world as. He wanted to leave the world as a good man, not as someone who ran away when the pressure got high."

Ooooh, loved that line!  The scene where Brian decides whether or not to hide was fantastic.  You really got his character down here.
