I enjoyed the way you started this out. Your descriptions are great and I love how you realistically brought Nick back to his old habits. I had to LOL at AJ being divorced, but the thought of him having twin girls made me smile.
I'm going to try one chapter a day until I catch up. Nicely done, looking forward to being all emotional and distraught. lol How often do you hear that?

Such a great start. You've really set a very strong and solemn tone for the foundation of the storyline. I like the way you're able to get into his head (crazy place to be, right? lol). You're a great writer! Can't wait to read more. :)

I love how this chapter made me smile, yet brought me back to the dark core of this story. I chuckled upon Nick remembering what AJ had taught him about groupies wanting a second night. That is sooo AJ, and thought it was cute that the baby brother had remembered what his oldest nympho brother taught him, lmao. I smiled at the first interaction with Brian and Nick, with the whole nicknames and Brian asking Nick to join him for basketball. Then it became somber when Nick realized what his best friend was actually trying to do. Curse Nick for being sooo damn stubborn! Lol. And, of course, he would go out and try to prove a point. That damn kid! Lol. But on the real, I seriously loved the balance in this first chapter and how you're steadily building everything up; you're preparing to take us deeper into Nick's psyche, and I freaking love it! Can't wait for the next update! :)

And Brian and Nick...they have such a loving relationship, even though sometimes Brian oversteps and Nick realizes it and gets all grr about it.
