I had to reread to see if he turned on the stove, I was afraid he did though I didn't see mention of it, doesn't mean he didn't. I hope he didn't start a fire. he really needs to get over the stubborness and realize he needs help so he doesn't hurt himself or someone else with what he can't remember.
Author's Response: Nope, no need to give him more angst than I'm already piling on him lol. He's stubborn but part of it is because once he admits he needs help there's no going back. It's easy to see why that would be so hard for him.

Sorry I'm so late reviewing this chapter, ZDR, but I just wanted to say, awww! :( This chapter started out light-hearted enough; I loved the Frick & Frack banter on the phone. But of course it got sad quickly. I can't blame Nick for reacting the way he did, but Brian's right that they do need to plan ahead for that point that they know they're going to reach sooner or later. I love that he can read Nick so well; Nick didn't have him fooled at all LOL. Poor NMN. Can't wait for more to see how they deal with the nursing home issue.
Author's Response: Awww it's okay! :) I love you anyways. I love squeezing in F&F moments when I can, which isn't so easy at this point in the story :(. I can so see both sides of their reactions and there's just no easy way to do it. I knew Nick would think he'd trick Brian, and that Brian would go with it (till he had to call Nick out on it) because he cares about him. I feel bad for NMN :( yet I can't stop torturing him lmao. Thanks ZDR!

aww, first of all i'm bummed that there was nly one new chapter to read. I thought after being gone for two weeks I would have had two more. LOL
I enjoyed the fight that Brian and Nick had. It seemed very real and natural. I can imagine what a sore subject it would be when it came to homes etc... Great update! Don't forget your next deadline!!
Author's Response: I know, midterms/school projects have been kicking my ass a bit lol. I'm trying to write Undead but after that I'm refocusing on this. One project is on Alzheimer's so that should help inspire me LOL. Thank you about Brian and Nick, I always worry when I have them fight if it seems natural or not lol. So I'm glad it came off that way. And exactly, that can't be an easy thing to discuss. Thanks Mare!

Oh man this made me cry. I hate to see him like this but it is realistic. However please tell me you have a long way to go with it. Especially with the authors notes. MAkes me wonder how it will all end.

And he thought he was doing well at fooling Brian that he knew where they were going. I can understand why Nick would lose his temper like that, it must be so upsetting to think of how he'll end up, but Brian is just trying to do his best for his friend. I'm sure Nick will calm down and be able to talk about it soon though.

Author's Response: Sometimes I don't think Nick realizes how well those Boys know him lol. And yeah it needs to be talked about, but as of now all it's doing is reminding him painfully of how everything's gonna end. That and he gets angry easier because of the disease :(. Really good chapter, Rose. I understand both Nick's and Brian's sides to their argument, it must be so hard on both of them. I hope Jane continues to act like a human being! Also liked the mention of Japan.
Author's Response: Thanks :). And yeah, as much as I'd love to have them both getting along perfectly over this, it's not realistic. The way this is testing both of them just adds to the strain already there. As for Jane, well, Aaron was her wake up call I'd like to think. Glad you liked the bit about Japan. Nick's the perfect way to sneak something like that in lol.

Author's Response: I know! About time I did huh lol. Thank you, I figure at times it's gotta be frustrating to deal with Nick. Even if Nick has every right to feel angry. (And anger spikes are actually a symptom of Alzheimer's too) So thank you. I hope I update soon too LOL. And good call about Japan, it totally was. :) Nick's the perfect way to do it haha. He has a love affair with that country. :)

Wow, great update. I don't blame Nick for being so angry, it seems like there's always a hint of it somewhere along with frustration. I can almost feel it. I can relate, I know how it feels to be angry and frustrated over things happening with your body that you can't control. No one knows how to react in this situation. There's no "correct" way to handle it, no "correct" way to talk to Nick about any aspect of his Alzheimer's because he's always gonna be mad and frustrated and think it's unfair and whatever else. Everyone has to find their own way to deal with what's happening to Nick. Can't wait for more as always, Rose.
Author's Response: Thanks MA! :). And yes, there definitely is. Partly cause he should feel angry, and part of it is that it's a symptom of Alzheimer's. And you've got it right on the dot, you don't know how to react, handle it, or anything. He's always going to get upset and everyone else is going to have to deal and sometimes they're going to get upset too. Thanks!
