Wow that is a crazy intense chapter Julie. Way different than your sad makes my cry stories. This one had my heart racing.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks for checking out Guilty Roads, Anita! This is the story I abandoned to write Curtain Call and will hopefully come back to now that CC is over, so you're coming to it at a good time, I hope. LOL I haven't written a suspense like this in a long time, so I thought I'd give it another shot. Glad you liked the beginning!

Just found this story, I couldn't sleep so I wandered the Most Recent page. Hmmm this is very interesting! Love the descriptions and emotions that Nick is feeling. He shouldn't have gone out lol! Awesome first chapter, I'm gonna read on....
Author's Response: Thank you, Tracy! Glad you gave it a try! :)

Sorry I deleted my last review because I wanted to add more. haha. So here you go:
Wow! Love the storyline, Julie...definitely my type of story! Love it so far. Full of suspense, can't wait until the next chap! And I totally agree with Reb. This takes me back to old school fics. I love these suspense type of stories. Good stuff :)
Author's Response: Aww, thanks, Sel!! I loved those old-school suspense type stories too, and I always wanted to write one, but my attempts at it back in the day were never very good LOL. Now with all these AU stories I'm writing, I'm having a blast going old-school Bsb again and trying out a suspense like this. I'm so happy you like it so far! Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)

Holy shit. Julie, you don't know how excited I am for this story. Rose had told me that you'd be working on a new story, and it wasn't until she mentioned that I should check out "Guilty Roads" that I learned you had already posted it. This is fucking great! The imagery, the journey back to Nick being a young, stubborn, defiant kid; really brings me back to the abundance of great, wonderfully written suspenseful stories that used to paint fanfiction sites. You seriously don't know how happy I am to be reading the collab as well as both you and Rose's new individual stories. I've seriously been missing that feeling of reading a great fic and anticipating the chapters to come, and you lovely ladies brought it all back to me. :) I seriously can't say enough about this story and seriously look forward to the next chapter. Please update soon! :)
Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much, Reb!!! I know you're more of a suspense writer than I am, so your praise means the world! I haven't attempted a story like this in a long time, but I was inspired by the good old-school fics and wanted to write an old-school one again too. I'm glad you liked the beginning! Thanks so much for checking it out and leaving such a great review!!

FINALLY an effing suspense story on here!! I'm so sick of coming on to AC and only finding the romances I can't even tell you. lol I'm so excited to see where this one goes and it always seems like the suspense stories on here get started and then never get updated, so I hope this one doesn't fall into that abyss. lol Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: LMAO! I hear ya! Thanks for checking it out, and I'm glad you liked the beginning. I totally know what you mean about all the good suspense stories fizzling out and never being updated again... I will try to keep this one from going that route. I always try to finish what I start, and I have a lot of writing time now that it's summer, so I'll hopefully get a lot of it done over the next few months. Hope you stick with it. Thanks again for reading and reviewing!

First of all I want to say Thank you for not including any reporters, photographers or dancers in this story. Thank you for making it about the Backstreet Boys in a BSB fanfic. Thank you for kickin' it old school (which includes Kevin YAY!) and the biggest thank you of all is actually making me excited to want to click onto a story and read it. I can't even tell you when that happened for the last time. It's been a while!
I love how you set up the time, going back to the Sega and everything lol I also love how even though you made us realize Nick was only 19, you made him act 19, showing us he was not really a child but still had a lot od those characteristics.
Your descriptions were great, including Philly. I passed by many of those things on the way to and from my BSB concert yesterday lol I really do hope you continue on this one. It's going to be a new 'classic' something we haven't seen in a long time. Excellent job Julie. Congratulate your muse for me. :O)
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Mare! Your reviews mean the world to me, especially considering the fact that you haven't read much fanfic lately. I'm thrilled that you read the start of this one and enjoyed it! I tried to keep it old-school and go back to the style of those old fanfics I love, yours included. It's fun writing about young Bsb again and setting it in the distant past of 1999 LOL. I'm glad the setting seemed realistic - the only part of Philly I've been to is the airport LOL, but I did my research. There's a reason I chose to set it there instead of, say, Chicago, but that will come into play later. Anyway, thank you again for reading and reviewing; I really appreciate it! My muse is a happy camper too LOL. I hope this gives your muse some inspiration, too; we'd love a new Bsb fic from you!

Ok...its damn near 4am in the morning and I actually squealed in delight when I refreshed the AC page and found your name on a new story Julie! EEEEK!!!! Loooove the suspesful beginning to this!!! So happy to have a new story from you!!! Great start and can't wait for more!!!
Author's Response: Thanks Jen!!! I miss reviews from you - bout time I got a new Nick story going for ya, huh LOL. I'm glad you liked the beginning - thanks for reading and reviewing, as always! I love your feedback!

So you already know I love this, but I'm making sure I'm the first review to make it official. Plus you were the first one mine LOL.
What I love is how this a total throwback to the classics. It's 1999 again you've got antsy Nick and protective Kevin, and Nick gets himself in trouble. You make it feel like I'm right there with Nick when it happens and I love it. :)
Author's Response: Aww, thank you!! =D You know I appreciate you reading it and letting me know what you think! I'm enjoying writing old-school 1999 fanfic again; I just hope it's not too cliche. I guess it won't matter for long though... mwahaha! Thanks for leaving the first review! :)
