You are sooo cruel, sooo sooo cruel to leave us with a cliffhanger like that!! But, before I get onto the suspense, I just want to say I love how detailed you were with the 90's. Everything from their Millennium tour to the movies of 1999. It's great to take that small trip back to a year, I think it's safe to say, A LOT of us favor and love. :) Now, the suspense. I can't believe the two found Nick! Ooh, love how you introduced us to Joey's family btw and how they're intertwined now. But man oh man, how could you leave us hanging like this girl?! Please tell me you'll have an update by like, tomorrow... or hell, even within the next five minutes! :P
But gosh, my heart is still racing from this cliffhanger. Please, please, please update REAL SOON!! I seriously can't wait!! :)

I just had to leave you hanging. ;) Thanks for comments on the other stuff - I'm having fun reminiscing on the 90s by looking up what movies were out that year and whatnot. 1999 was totally the best year ever. LOL And thanks, I was worried people would freak out at the site of a female character being introduced, but I'm glad you saw the connection, and she's not going to be a major character or anything. I loved the way you had Nick go back and forth between calling the cops or not. That all seemed so real and something probably everyone would toy with if something like that were to happen. Also loved the bald guy who wasn't scary in that kind of way lol You've set up a great suspense here because the entire time I kept thinking uh oh like him, only to see nothing happen which can be a scary feeling. I can only imagine someone famous feeling that and constantly being clawed at. Creepy! Excellent job once again!

I always get annoyed in stories like this when they don't automatically go to the police, so I was trying hard to justify his decision not to, but I can see you'd be afraid to get involved, too. Wow. It's amazing how vivid this chapter was. It was as if I was seriously feeling everything Nick was feeling at that moment; everything from unsettling thoughts racing through his head to his heart pounding, being jarred awake, the paranoia that wracked his brain. I'm feeling the suspense for poor Nicky. Loved the clerk, Karissa, such a sweetheart! But man, poor Nick for being so on edge. Can't wait to see what'll happen next, so please update soon my dear! :)
Btw, totally love the small zombie references both you and Rose got going on in your fics. ;)

Holy shit. Julie, you don't know how excited I am for this story. Rose had told me that you'd be working on a new story, and it wasn't until she mentioned that I should check out "Guilty Roads" that I learned you had already posted it. This is fucking great! The imagery, the journey back to Nick being a young, stubborn, defiant kid; really brings me back to the abundance of great, wonderfully written suspenseful stories that used to paint fanfiction sites. You seriously don't know how happy I am to be reading the collab as well as both you and Rose's new individual stories. I've seriously been missing that feeling of reading a great fic and anticipating the chapters to come, and you lovely ladies brought it all back to me. :) I seriously can't say enough about this story and seriously look forward to the next chapter. First of all I want to say Thank you for not including any reporters, photographers or dancers in this story. Thank you for making it about the Backstreet Boys in a BSB fanfic. Thank you for kickin' it old school (which includes Kevin YAY!) and the biggest thank you of all is actually making me excited to want to click onto a story and read it. I can't even tell you when that happened for the last time. It's been a while!
I love how you set up the time, going back to the Sega and everything lol I also love how even though you made us realize Nick was only 19, you made him act 19, showing us he was not really a child but still had a lot od those characteristics.
Your descriptions were great, including Philly. I passed by many of those things on the way to and from my BSB concert yesterday lol I really do hope you continue on this one. It's going to be a new 'classic' something we haven't seen in a long time. Excellent job Julie. Congratulate your muse for me. :O)

I'm thrilled that you read the start of this one and enjoyed it! I tried to keep it old-school and go back to the style of those old fanfics I love, yours included. It's fun writing about young Bsb again and setting it in the distant past of 1999 LOL. I'm glad the setting seemed realistic - the only part of Philly I've been to is the airport LOL, but I did my research. There's a reason I chose to set it there instead of, say, Chicago, but that will come into play later. Anyway, thank you again for reading and reviewing; I really appreciate it! What I love is how this a total throwback to the classics. It's 1999 again you've got antsy Nick and protective Kevin, and Nick gets himself in trouble. You make it feel like I'm right there with Nick when it happens and I love it. :)
