LOL at the muffin distraction technique! Very cute. I also liked the part where Nick asks Howie if he's ever shot a gun, I could just picture the look on Howie's face haha. I hope Kevin is okay...kinda starting to doubt that he is though. Great chapter Mare :)

AHHHHH!!!! OMG, I hate you for that cliffhanger! WHAT'S IN THE CLOSET?! Kevin!!!! Double cliffies are no fun! The second half of this chapter was way intense, especially when Nick was trying to find a place to hide when they were coming. The first half cracked me up, though, especially with the muffin distraction technique and Howie going "Do I look like someone who has ever shot a gun?" LOL. It was an awesome chapter; I just hate you (and love you) for ending it that way!
Author's Response: I was in my bed when that Howie line came to me and I cracked up. I wonder if he ever has shot any kind of gun before. And that muffin part was very random for me. OMG. You always leave each chap with a cliffie! You're killing me, Mare! Love the part where he mentions Howie putting the hand over his eyes and how he never understood that. You write Nick's POV very well...I can totally see him saying something like that. Also love the part where Howie mentions that Kev probably went upstairs to go to sleep. *pets Howie for being in denial*

Why couldn't they have just opened the door in this chapter? Why'd you have to go and make it a cliffhanger? Also, sometimes, I wonder if Nick's opinions about some things are really MARE's opinions lol Like the whole putting your hand above your eyes to look for something...is that a Mare-ism? :P
