What?! She killed Nick's real mother? I would not have expected that.. and the other guys are stuck with Max. Scary, I hope they're okay. At least Kevin and Nick are safe. Really great job with this Mare, you are so good at getting inside 15 year old Nick's head and all the little details and plot points. I love it!

Great chapter Mare!! I'm so glad his Dad was really there, I was beginning to think he was really dead and that Nickolas was maybe the bad guy. I hope the rest of the boys will be OK, Max is very devious, so I have a feeling it's going to be bad news for someone :( I wonder why Jane killed Nick's real Mum? She must be something to do with Max.

OH MY GOSH!! I've read fanfiction where Jane is evil, crazy, mean, but never twisted enough to kill,
furthormore you just cut off the chapter like THAT i mean sure it's really dramatic but now i'm going to be thinking about this all week wondering whats going to happen!!

Wow. Great chap, Mare. Seems like some things are starting to come together. I'm glad that Kevin is safe, but I can't blame Nick for being confused and angry. Now I really hope that he boys will be ok. Very interested to find out Max's real role in all of this and what happened with Nick's "moms."
Oh and LOVED the part with Kevin and the bible. Makes me LOL just picturing it.

Jeez, Mare LOL. Even when you give us more info, I end up feeling more confused than ever! At least we know Nick's dad and Kevin are both alive and well. Can't wait to hear the story of what happened with his mom! This story is so different from anything else out there; I love it!

Okay I'm tired of saying WTF in these reviews lmao. But again, what I love about your suspense stories is that you do keep me constantly guessing. Poor Nick, he's so confused and trying to keep track of what the hell is going on LOL.
Poor Boys! See! That Nickolas shouldn't have left them behind! He should've known they'd go back to Max and try to help Nick! Bah :P
