The parts about Nick as a child made me cry. I hate Roger!!! Of course I am curious as to this other kid they keep talking about...I wonder if we will ever find out about that? Aww, yes Roger is not a nice guy. The other kid is the miscarriage she had earlier on which is what sparked Nick's abduction in the first place. Glad to see you have your new phone! Thanks for reading Tracy! :O)

That was a mean cliffy! This chapter was really good though, so I guess it's ok =P Roger is just pure evil. I don't know how anyone could act that way towards a child. I really liked how you wrote Nick in this chapter. Very childlike, but also being very brave. Great job!

That is such a mean cliffy, but I'll forgive you because that chapter was awesome! Roger really is a monster, how could anyone want to drown a child or rip his heart out? And poor Nicole, sounds like she had a rough time with him too. I love how you wrote the end of that chapter, with Nick putting on a brave face, but then when he's facing death, he does what anyone would do and begs for his life.
Can't wait for more :)

Thanks Steph. Yeah, I felt like it was important to make him panic and lose it at the end. I don't think it would have been realistic otherwise, not to say that any of this is realistic to begin with lol Sorry about the cliffy! lol

LOL I knew you were gonna do this to us! This chapter was intense, between the flashbacks and what's happening in the present. Poor Nick! He is so brave and selfless, going by himself, not letting Brian or the other Boys come with, knowing that he might not come back, but wanting to save them from the same fate. Amazing chapter; I can't wait to find out what happens next!

I didn't want to be too predictable and was actually gong to resolve this but decided against it lol Glad you liked it. Oh god, I really thought Roger was going to get that note. And then at the end, when Max rubbed his chin and licked his lips, it filled me with dread :( I just know something terrible is going to happen to someone, but have no idea who.

I do NOT like the sounds of this Roger guy. I don't trust him one bit, especially after the flashback Nick had. I'm glad Nick showed Brian that Max is not a good guy and that they were being watched. I liked the note exchange as well. Great chapter as always Mare.
