Damn, this was such an intense and emotional story. My eyes are so full of tears that I can barely see to type (and I usually don't cry over that many stories).
You are a kick ass author and you sure know how to write beautiful story!
I am so looking forward to more stories from you. I'll just remember to have a kleenex box nearby. ;)

One more thing...I'm with Julie. The part about him calling to hear brian's voice was just too much. That's what did it for me. I used to do that when my boyfriend (now hubby) was out on deployment and I knew he wouldn't pick up. Definitely pulled at my heart strings.
Author's Response: I did that to my Mom's phone for a long time when she passed away, also. I was so upset when my dad finally changed the message.

Ok, now that I know this is the end, I'm going to leave one final review...I absolutely loved this story. It was different from the other ones I've read. You are so gifted. Love the whole premise of the story as well as how you incorporated the articles. The ending was absolutely beautiful. Ending with this article is perfect and I'm also glad we got to find out about the original night of the diagnosis. And I am so happy that he went so peacefully...that's exactly how I expected it.

I am so glad I live by myself or people would be wondering why I'm bawling. What an absolutely beautiful story. I have no other words. Its been awhile since I've read something that has made me laugh, cry, angry but all in all make me smile. Great great job. :-)

Okay, I wasn't sure if that was officially the end or not, but now that I see that you've updated to say it's complete, I'll leave you one more review. I just want to tell you again how much I LOVE this story! In a summer of great new stories that have gotten me back into reading fanfic, this has been my favorite one so far - and that's saying a lot, considering I'm reading so many other great stories right now too! This was the one I've looked forward to updates on the most, even though you updated it every time I turned around LOL. It's an absolutely, heartbreakingly beautiful story and the best Frick/Frack fic I've read in a long time! It's definitely going on my favorites! You should feel really proud of this one! :)
Author's Response: I was thinking about putting en epilogue in, to explain the balloon banner, but I, like Rose said in her review, the article is a fitting end because of the way the story went. Plus, I think Brian being absolutely right is a good final sentence... lol. The balloon does have a purpose, though. After the article, when Nick knows what Brian's something beautiful was, the balloon is sending a copy of the picture to heaven... it's Nick's way of letting go. I don't know if that's too cheesy or not. Maybe that's why it's a "secret" between Nick, Amanda and Brian...and the epilogue won't be published. :)

Oh my gosh... SO GOOD! I did okay reading the article until I got to the part where Nick kept calling Brian's phone just to hear his voice on the voicemail... that's where you got me. That, and what the "something beautiful" turned out to be... so perfect!!!

I'm bawling. Seriously just crying. It's such a sad way to go. But he got to say his final words to everyone. Because like Brian says, they weren't goodbyes.
Ending with the article was so fitting given the way the rest of the story was told. And Brian's right about the picture, what it represents is more important that what it actually is, and I can see why it's his "Something Beautiful".
This was just such a good story, and it's staying on my favorites. I can't wait to see what other stories you do. (After Time Watcher of course)
