Author's Response: I know... I do this when I write. I go in like binge spurts with stories. If it strikes me right I can spit out chapters as quickly as my fingers can type. If they don't come that naturally, I won't write it. (which is why Time Watcher's been dead for the last week, I haven't felt the urge to herbal). I'm glad you're enjoying it... Wow such a beautiful (I know right?) story. I've already cried because I'm such a sap. Nick is gong to be pissed about Amanda. I think Brian knows or has an inkling about her but he still sees that's shes good for Nick. Will see. Awesome job! I can't wait for more.

Reading this chapter reminded me of a movie, Mr. Deeds, with Adam Sandler. He also fell for an undercover reporter. I'm hoping this story ends like that movie did! Nick will be so pissed off when he finds out what's going on and what she is. But I hope he looks past it and sees that she truly fell in love with him. He's going to need it once Brian......
We finally learned the truth...and WOW. So sad. I'm just shocked that Brian would choose to jaunt around with Nick instead of spending the last moments that he has with his wife and child. But I can understand the wanting to accomplish what he wants to accomplish on the trip. And Nick is such a caring, compassionate man to plan this wonderful trip for his best friend. This story is truly......beautiful.
Author's Response: I loved the storyline of Mr. Deeds, but I can't watch it anymore because Winona Ryder (or however its spelled I can't think, lol) annoys the hell out of me, lol. But it was a really cute movie. I wish they'd cast Drew Barrymore instead though. Adam and Drew are awesome together. ;) Thanks for reading!

Oooh, Toby! This is starting to get really suspenseful!
Before that, though, I was gonna say, I think this is the funniest chapter yet! Nick trying to make pancakes on a grill... EPIC! LMFAO And I loved the references to Bellatrix Lestrange, Scuba Steve, and Pat the gym teacher lookalike LMAO. (Aside from the "better six pack / bigger balls" lines, I laughed cause my middle school gym teacher was named Pat LOL.)
Author's Response: I have had 3 gym teachers in my life - and ALL THREE OF THEM were named Pat. I think it might be a requirement for the profession. Glad you enjoyed the chapter... can't you totally picture Nick forgetting that the pancake stuff's gonna go through the grates? And the Bellatrix Lestrange reference was a last minute add-on that happened 'cos I couldn't think of how to describe that look that Bellatrix has - other than "electrocuted"! LOL
