Poor Brian, it must be so weird to go back to his old life, realizing how much pain he's caused everyone who loved him, and still be stuck dealing with the loss of his wife. Not like he can help it. Still, therapy is much needed LOL. Congrats on finishing this story, ZDRC! It was definitely an interesting one, something different.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about it skipping ahead to going back to the States; I would have liked to see more of Brian's reaction to finding out what really happened to Leighanne, as well as his goodbye to Carlie and her reaction to all of this too. But I'm glad he's home and that they figured out about dissociative fugue to explain how this could have happened.

Wow, how crazy that Brian could just snap back to his old self just like that and not remember the last few months on the island! So weird. I'm glad he remembers who he really is now, but I feel bad for Carlie that he didn't recognize her or remember the time he's spent with her... and I feel bad for him that he still doesn't remember what happened to Leighanne.
Author's Response: What's crazy is that it's really how it works. It's so weird but I figured a neat idea. It's the minds way of just shutting down I guess or trying to forget traumatic events. When a person comes back to themselves, they tend to still not remember the event that caused it. So odd. Thanks!

Wow, I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for Nick to be there and know it's Brian, but not have Brian recognize him. At least he was able to find Brian again and talk to him... hopefully that will lead to the breakthrough they both need.

:( sorry for my late review. I really am sad to see this end because I don't read a lot of Brian stories....but this one was so creative and interesting that I gave it a shot. Also because I usually like stuff you've written.
I can't imagine the inner pain Brian is feeling along with the guilt and confusion of having been another person for 8 months. That letter at the end made me tear up a little knowing he feels guilty for being alive, for blocking it all out like he did without intending to. Amazing story, Rose. I can't wait to see that one you told me about and more of HWS as well :)
Author's Response: Awww well thank you! I'm honored I got you to read a Brian story. This is actually the first Brian story I've written lol, even if it does have a lot of Nick. It's like Nick said, Brian's not fixed, far from it. But he's starting to heal, even without remembering being Brendan. I can't imagine the guilt Brian would be feeling. A great story, Rose. It was nice to read something a little bit different for a change in terms of a Brian story. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Brian knows he's Brian!!! *happy dance* but he knows about Leighanne :( I'm glad Nick found him and I liked the NKOTB comment as well...hahahaha. I loved Brian's reaction to his new surroundings. So much going on in this chapter. I love how when Nick told Kevin there were a series of crashes lol and visualizing the "dirty brow" LOL such a Nick thing to say. I liked how at the end Brian was trying to comfort him a little by talking to him....and Nick telling Brian about when they first met. So cute. I'm glad you started writing this again Rose!
Author's Response: LOL it's cause poor Kevin was taken by surprise. It was two in the morning back in LA, compared to the 10am Nick was dealing with where he was. Brian can't deny who he is, even when he doesn't know who he is. Thanks Tracy!

Yay, Nick found Brian! And Brian's in total denial! How can he put a name to the face he's seen in his dreams and still deny that he knows Nick? Silly Brian! Nick's got his work cut out for him! The dream sequence at the beginning was sad, and I love how you worked the title of the story into this chapter!

Oh boy, Nick showing up could be really good or really bad, haven't decided yet. I'm glad he found him but I don't think Brian is going to take to him being there lightly by the looks of things, although part of me hopes he will be curious and talk to Nick on his own.
This story has been so interesting so far but I loved this chapter, the pieces are slowly coming together. Great update Rose :)
