I love that I had two chapters to catch up on. BTW just thought I'd let you know this and Borrowed Time are the only two Brian stories I'm reading at the moment. I don't read many of them, but I'm enjoying this a lot. Poor Brian seems to be recovering some of his memories in spurts and is more confused than ever. I love how Nick is all gung ho about finding out what happened although everyone else seems to have given up. I quite like him in the hero role, amazing updates. Looking forward to more!

C'mon, Kevin! It seems obvious that that's where Brian went, if he had stuff underlined about how to get there and stay there. How could any of them just sit on that info and not do anything with it to try to track him down? I'm glad Nick is going! Go Nick! Keep the updates coming!

AJ and Howie, well, it's easier to believe he went there willingly for them especially with stuff underlined. Because if they believe that, well, less heartache. You've done such a fantastic job on this story. As painful as it is, its still so good.
I think its wrong that the other guys are ready to give up so easy but now it seems kevin is coming around. I hope he and Nick are able to find something out.
And poor Baylee! When I think of his situation, being without both parents, I think of the song "Come Home" by OneRepublic. I think the song really fits his feelings and wanting Brian to come home.
I hope you are able to continue this :)

I wouldn't say the guys are giving up easily, there's just no reason to believe otherwise. Nick is going purely on instinct, while the others think what they do based on the facts they know. Aww, the beginning of this chapter was sad, with Nick taking Baylee to visit Leighanne's grave. It's so sad that she died on their tenth anniversary. Nick visiting Brian's house was sad, too, but I loved the part where he was reminiscing about the picture of Brian riding the giant cock, hahaha. I love that Kevin showed up there, too. I'm curious to see what they found and if it will be a clue that helps them track down Brian. Anxious for more! You're on a roll, ZDR; keep 'em coming! SPP!!!
Author's Response: You know how I love my angst...angst! angst! angst! LOL. I liked the idea of her dying on their anniversary after narrowly surviving to that point on 9/11. I'm so mean. There's a picture Brian posted on twitter, being on top of a giant chicken, and I've always wanted to use it lmao. I wrote the Kevin scene the day we found out he'd be at the beach party. I loved the dream sequence at the beginning of this chapter, the way you masterfully combined Baylee's birth with the Show Me the Meaning video and transitioned into a flashback of the crash. Brilliant! The scene between "Brendan" and Carlie was sweet; it was nice to get some back story on her and see the two of them growing closer without him freaking out completely. Great chapter, ZDR!!
