Aww, it's so sad to think back on that day. I remember watching it live on TRL; it was scary, knowing something was wrong, not knowing what they were going to say. I was almost relieved at first that no one was hurt or something, but then when it really sunk in, I was so sad for AJ and for Nick, crying on TV, and for all of them. You captured their emotions well, especially in Nick's part. He seemed to have the hardest time with it, at least on the outside, though I know it must have been really hard for all of them. This is really well-written, Steph; you're doing a great job with it. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks Julie! :) I watched that TRL clip quite a few times on youtube to try and get the tone of it right, so I'm glad you thought it came off well. It was such a shock to me when I found out about this - my friend called me at 6am because she read about it in the paper, we never saw the TRL appearance. I don't know what my reaction would have been if I'd turned on the show and they were sitting there all seriously, probably close to the same as yours I imagine.

aww good job at showing how Howie felt guilt about what happened with AJ. I sometimes wonder if things would have gone down differently too if Kevin hadn't kicked down Aj's door. This was such a hard time for them. Poor Nick. I remember all the emotion he had during that interview. It broke my heart. I kept hoping someone would just hug him! lol
Author's Response: Thanks Mare! I'm glad you thought the Howie part was done well because he's the hardest one for me to write. I felt so sad for Nick as well, and still do whenever I watch those old interviews... I also hoped for someone to hug him.

Aw I remember this interview as if it was yesterday, I remember crying when I saw how upset Nick was and always wondered what he was thinking at that moment...I think you have done a fine job of getting inside Nick's head! Loving this!
Author's Response: Thanks Tracy! Poor Nick was so sad in those interviews, and that what a lot of what inspired me to write this story - wanting to explore his thoughts during that time. So I'm glad you thought I did a good job! :)

Great chap. I can really feel their pain. So sad that they feel a bit of guilt by not catching on sooner. And Nick's POV was really sad and realistic. I love how he's counting on Kevin for support.
Author's Response: Thanks Sel! Nick looked so sad in the interviews, so I really wanted to capture that. There was one interview in particular where they were sitting beside each other so of course in my imagination it was because Nick needed his big bro Kevin lol. Glad you liked it!

Author's Response: I'm glad you like the different perspectives, I have only really written from Nick's POV in other stories so this is definitely a challenge for me. Thanks for the review :)
