I kinda love how all the guys seem to think alike when it comes to Nickolas....who by the way....ew. Boy needs a shower. I'm surprised Howie is allowing that lol. Anyways, Brian just seems kinda indifferent to the whole situation, like he's in his own little world with Leighanne. And the last line made me so sad, I'd hug Nick if he smelled better ;) great chapter Steph!
Author's Response: I think all the guys are pretty worried about Nick, even if they show it in their own way. And yeah, he definitely needs a shower LOL Howie couldn't even get up the courage to talk to poor Nick about the tour let alone suggest he bathe. Yeah, Brian is very much indifferent at this point and is definitely focusing much more attention on his marriage than he is on the group, possibly to a fault. Awww, Nick does need a hug! Brian makes me so mad I want to slap him and his horrible wife lol Good job with that! It was also nice seeing Kevin try9ing to figure out why he was worrying so much and if it wanted to go back on tour. I think out of all the guys, you really capture Howie the best! I have really enjoyed reading his parts and they always make me smile. Poor Nick, he was in such a scary place back then. I'm so glad he's turned his life around. Did he actually say that about the BSB being nothing without him? lmao Oh, Nick *shakes head* Keep up this updating streak!! Pretend you're at work lol
Author's Response: LOL thanks, Brian and his wife make me mad too! And yeah, I figured I would begin planting the seed with Kevin if he wanted to go back out or not, even though at this point he still doesn't leave the group for another five years or so. That's for the compliment on Howie! I definitely enjoy writing him and Nick the most! Nick will only go downhill from here, unfortunately :( I'm glad he's turned his life around too, I'm so proud of him. *hugs Nick* lol. I don't know if he explicitly said that about BSB, but I know he did have some kind of attitude problem about it when he was 16 and they were just getting famous in Europe. I took a creative liberty with that part haha. I'll try my best to keep the streak going as long as I can - I didn't work yesterday and I managed to update so hopefully I can do the same today! :) Thanks for the review, Mare!

Wow, you are really on a roll!!! Loving all the updates! Damn Leighanne for keeping Brian from calling Nick! I kinda figured that would happen! I laughed at Kristin's comment about her and Kevin being a couple in their late twenties with a 21-year-old song LOL, but it made me sad when Kevin thought, "I'd always be a part of that group, even during down time," but then it made me happy again when I realized HE'S BACK!!! Yay! Nick's opinions on personal hygiene cracked me up and grossed me out, as usual. I will never get over his whole rambling theory on House of Carters about not needing to brush his teeth because ancient Egyptian mummies have good teeth. WHAT! Eww. I'm glad he got himself back to Howie's place in one piece and that they sort of made up. I laughed at Howie's description of how Nick looked... and smelled. Mmm, now that's sexy! LOL Entertaining, as always, Steph - can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I'm trying to keep it up for as long as I can, haha! I know right, Leighanne is always causing problems for Brian and Nick, lol. I felt like I should put that bit with Kevin in there where he felt like he'd always be a part of the group. And in a way I do think that was true, even during the period where he wasn't a part of it. Nick is the grossest person ever, and it just boggles my mind how someone can be so attractive and so disgusting all at the same time LOL. I'll never forget that scene in House of Carters where he's talking about not brushing his teeth. Gross, Nick! I'm glad Howie and Nick made up too. I imagine Nick must have smelled quite gross... as he'd gone out twice in two days in the same clothes and no shower lol ewww Nick! Thanks Julie! So glad you're enjoying it :)

I loved Howie's internal thoughts about Nick's rant lol he is amusing when he's angry. I love how you had Nick jump from scene to scene depending on which point of view it was written in. Also, I enjoyed the logical progression with Howie warning Kevin then calling Brian. It was sad at the end though, the whole drifting apart thing and the way you once again get the sense that Brian is only part of the group because it's a job, with the whole Jive will keep us stuck together reference. Yay for another update! Whatever you're doing at work, keep doing it! lol

I had a lot of fun writing Nick jumping from scene to scene so I'm glad you appreciated that, along with Howie calling Brian after Nick flipped out and Kevin didn't answer. Yeah, I think at this point Brian was very much ready to pack it in and only stuck around because it was just a job. I'll try to keep on the update roll! We'll see how it goes! :)

Mwahaha, I love how Nick found out about the tour, and reading about him flying off the handle at Howie and then Kevin was pretty entertaining!! The end of the chapter made me sad, though. Brian and Nick were such peas in a pod when they were younger, and their lives just went in such different directions. This is definitely the point where that became obvious, when Brian was a newlywed and Nick was starting his downward spiral. I think things are a lot better now, even if they're not quite Frick & Frack anymore. I had to stop reading this for a minute to go look up that Teen Choice Awards performance on YouTube, and LMFAO... what a hot mess that was. I thought Aaron's outfit was bad, until Nick came out. Who thought that look was a good idea?? LOL Again... things are a lot better now!! Thanks for another update so soon! :)
Author's Response: That part was SO fun to write, but I felt so awkward writing Nick saying "fuck" every second word while I was at work, haha! I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure no one was there. I felt sad writing the end bit too. I think you're right that though things are better with the two of them now, it's not quite like it was. I think they've found a good balance with each other now though! And yes omg that performance is so awful! As soon as I saw in the timeline that it happened during the break I knew I had to include it lol. Yay, an update! Poor Howie, stewing over lying to Nick... he should probably just lie again and act like they didn't find out about AJ until after he and Nick got to LA. Too bad he didn't get the chance to tell him anything; I'm curious for Nick's reaction. I liked in Nick's part when he was explaining why he hates being at home, because of his dysfunctional family. I'm such a homebody, it's hard to relate, but it does make sense when you look at it that way. I enjoyed Kevin's thoughts on Carson Daly and TRL LOL. And I also enjoyed Brian's commentary while he was listening to Kevin's interview. Looking forward to more soon! I hope your lunch break writing streak continues!
Author's Response: I know right, Howie may as well just keep lying while he's at it, no reason to tell Nick when they found out about it. And then Nick left in such a rush and of course instead of stopping him, Howie just let him leave because he didn't want to have to tell Nick the truth. I couldn't really think of anything for Nick's part, honestly, so I just started rambling inside his head! So I'm glad you thought it worked. Wow, you updated! Go you!! I could understand why Howie would wuss out! If I were him I would just act like I found out right before he did. Why bother letting him know he knew before they left? I mean if you're going to lie, you might as well LIE, right? lmao Carson Daly is a tool! Like I mentioned in Why! I hate how he was so fake to the guys faces all the time but then would make fun of them. It's like twitter. He had to realize that he's wasn't invisible when he did stuff like that? I loved Howie's mention of Nick putting his shoes on without untying the laces and how that bugged him. It's the little things like that I love most about this story. It makes it seem so real! I tried something new and used my lunch break at work to write (since I spent all day at work in the writing zone) and it actually worked out really well! So I think I'm going to keep doing that :) I know right, what's the point in telling Nick he'd known all along? It'd only piss him off. Poor Howie, he sucks at lying haha. And I hate Carson Daly too! He's definitely a tool, and I hated how fake he was too. So dumb. So good to see this story being updated again Steph, I really love it. Kevin is being a bit of an arsehole towards everyone though, especially Nick. I know Nick isn't helping matters, but I'm sure he does things to get a reaction from the others. It's a shame AJ isn't ready to go back on tour, but he should take his time and get himself better before going back to that busy lifestyle.
Can't wait for more, I really love how you write the boys :)
