I don't get how she can think Kevin is a rogue since Kevin's the one who was trying to save her. I mean she hopped into the future and there was Kevin working away. yeah... Julie's a little messed in the head! I think I also get caught up in the "serial" nature of posting the story. That I want to keep the reader wondering and on the edge wanting to know what is going to happen next that I forget to tie everything together character wise. Seems I need to step back with my original characters and work on them, believe it or not, I used to be pretty good at original characters.

Yeah, Julie just confuses me in a lot of ways. At least Nick's true to form lol. I like how you write him, he's the Nick we know, only a slightly darker version since you know he's got an evil role to play later.

yay! I was so worried Nick wouldn't come off as Nick...! I knew you were getting close to the Nick chapters and after your comments about Julie I was worried I hadn't pulled Nick off correctly. Julie is confused and I think I made her confusing instead of just making her confused.

Wow, not sure how to take that. Jeff freaked out over a hug? He didn't come off as the jealous type in the chapter before, especially over something THAT innocent. I think that reaction was unrealistic and more suited for if he had caught them kissing.
I'm also confused by Julie's actions, as she was more attracted to Kevin just last chapter. He was the one she was thinking about. I mean yeah it's been five years since she's had sex, but I got the vibe she didn't fully trust Nick and now she's sleeping with him?
I just feel like the actions don't fit the characters or the motivations.

I answered this part on the summer reading thread in regards to this chapter. I had a beta who I thought understood that I wanted more than just grammar/spelling help. This would have been something I'd think a beta would help make the author realize. *shakes head* Julie is just confusing I guess... *sigh*

I was told, recently, by my husband that Julie is a bit of an idiot when it comes to Nick sooo expect more idiocy from her regarding that whole situation. HEH. :) Thanks for all the reviews, it was nice to wake up to even if I know you are supposed to for the reading challenge ;)

Didn't expect to see Brian so soon lol. I'm surprised she accepted that proposal, I mean she's been gone for five years. He doesn't know that but she does, she's changed. She's not even remotely close to ready. I feel bad for Jeff cause she jumped on that and is using him to feel normal, while thinking about Kevin.

Everyone, readers, and the character herself I think was surprised she accepted the proposal. I think that was one of those things that kind of wrote itself. I was going to have her say no and break up with the guy but then with her trying to get back into her life she accepted since she probably would have had she never travelled. Jeff did get the shit end of the stick abit, but he will never really know about Kevin so there's a plus. :)
