Damn, I don't know whether to be pissed at Chrissy for going back to Brian and leaving Nick at the hotel, or feel sorry for her for what Brian is going through. Brian is right when he says that Nick is the someone that she needs but I have a feeling that Chrissy wont be talking to Nick for a long time. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: I think you have a right to be angry and sorry! Then again, in the face of this type of news, I really don't think she had a choice. If she lets him die alone, not only would she feel guilt, but think of how everyone else might look at her. It's a horrible situation to be in. And then there's Nick...:sigh: I'm so friggin' cruel to him!

Author's Response: Well his disease IS a little excuse for his attitude. A lot of times tumors can invade in the part of the brain that affects mood and judgment. :(

OMG I KNEW there had to be more to this, it just didn't make sense to me how Brian was acting. Now it does. He loves Chrissy so much that he cannot bear to have her go through any more or sacrifice any more to take care of him. What I can't believe is how many readers are still wanting her to stay with Nick! Seriously?? No, she truly loved Brian and it has now been proven that he loves her SO MUCH. I want to hug him! How unselfish of him. *sob* Go back to Brian, Chrissy!
Author's Response: Aww, Team Brian for life! :) I'll be the first to admit that I love Nick just as much in this story, but there's a time and a place for everything. I think you'll get your wish. :)

I still think Brian is in the wrong here. Why put her through this for God knows how long. Going through this with him couldn't have been any harder on her than what he's put her through pushing her away. At least she would have known he loved her. I still think Brian is an ass..even with the brain cancer. He went around it the wrong way. He could have given Matty happy times with his mommy AND daddy instead of bad, angry times.

Author's Response: I totally think Brian made some HUGE judgment calls that were just totally wrong. He never physically abused Chrissy, but there's mental anguish there that can be just as destructive. In the beginning, it was just the anger over the accident and the bad luck, but the extreme behavior...I do have to say that it's not all his fault. :)

Wow.. I didn't see that coming.. So sad, now I feel really bad for the antiBrian things I said, now I see that he did what he did to protect her. Did he drive her into Nick's arms because he wants him to take care of her after he's gone? This story is just so amazing.. Can I hope for a second update? Since it's my birthday and even my dad forgot about it? =/

Isn't Piper a nurse? Because it could make sense, especially since Jackie seems to know her. And given the fact that probably Brian thinks that, after all Chrissy has been through because of him (the accident and his paralyis, the miscarrage adn now cancer) she deserves to be with someone who can take care of her like he can't do. And maybe that's why he doesn't speak to Nick, since he knows that there's no one better than his best friend to take care of Chrissy.
I've been reading this story since the first chap and I think I'm the only one still on Brian's side. lol We're reading only Chrissy POV so, of course, Brian's actions are seen only through her eyes and mind.
We don't know what goes through his mind or why he's acting like this.
Amazing story, very unique, it's not the typical "triangle story".
