Author's Response: lmao Possibly? I don't know! I think she might've been annoying at first. I have issues writing her likably, so it was a challenge at first. I usually have them break up or whatever so Brian can have a love interest that isn't her in my stories. LOL So I'm used to writing her as a bitch. However, as the story goes on I kind of realized her role in this whole situation more. So she may have been annoying in the first few chapters before I really found that niche for her character to work from. If that makes sense? And it's a word if you want it to be! Signed and certified. I'll pen it into my dictionary right now. LOL

Just everyone is being a dick in this story but Leighanne and Howie. *hands them cookies* seriously, I am annoyed with them! Poor Brian! :( I think you can tell he wasn't feeling 100% in the "A Night Out..." video, though it's impossible to know if it was heart-related or just some bug. It makes you appreciate just how difficult it must have been for him to keep up such a rigorous performance schedule for over a year before he had his surgery. Btw, I totally had to plug my VCR in and get out my A Night Out VHS after reading this chapter - I'm watching it now! Such a great video. *sigh* Back to the story... I LOVED the scene in the van! Nice to see Kevin getting really annoyed with Lou and Brian finally standing up to him too! And I'm glad Brian scheduled the surgery, although we all know he'll have to push it back one more time. Great chapter!!
Author's Response: Ah! I watched and rewatched the video trying to make sure that wasn't a preconceived notion my brain was writing into his body language since I was writing this and everything. LOL I'm glad you saw the not feeling 100% bit too. Well not GLAD. Cos yknow I wish he had been 100% in it obviously, but I'm glad I didn't preconceive it into existence in my mind either. This whole story is really making me appreciate everything he was going through. Just the tour schedule. Like you don't realize it until you have to chronicle how many stops they made in so little time or try to work in free time events and realize they didn't HAVE free time. It's really crazy.

FINALLY Brian stands up to the bison. God I despise Lou so much and I don't know if this all happened or not. I also love how Howie was watching them, that's how I am when my managers at work are fighting. Its like watching a tennis tournament. I'm really proud of him but I still want to kick him for lying to everyone about his condition. Hopefully one day he comes clean. Great update :)

I was shocked at Kevin....KEVIN wanted to party? It was so nice seeing everyone getting along and Leighanne interacting with everyone. I think Nick needed that comfort she gave him, poor poor kid. I want to give him a hug too. It was so sad, picturing a drunk Nick crying like that. Hopefully things get better for him soon. Great chapter :)

This chapter really bothered me. The scene between Brian and Lou was definitely one of the big moments the story's been building up to so far, and even though we all know what the end result of it was, actually reading that conversation just infuriated me! That after almost five years, Lou could care so little about Brian and come off so cold and callous was just sickening. It just goes to show how he really only cares about the bottom line, about making money. I hope Brian confides in the guys soon so they won't keep thinking he's just being a dick. My favorite part of the chapter was Leighanne mouthing off to Lou - LOVE HER!!! I love how you've made Leighanne a hero in this story. I like her in real life, but she's always gotten so much crap from the fandom, it's nice to see her portrayed in a positive light here. Great job with the chapter!!

Leighanne is my hero right now because at least she had the balls to say something to Lou. I love the little moment where Brian and Nick looked at each other and realized it. Kinda an aww moment but I want to smack Nick for the "he's a dick lately" comment. Can't wait for more updates tomorrow, Lou is on my shitlist as he always is.
