I love Howie's POV. He's the quiet observer. I love how he says he wonders how Joey handles it lol. I also loved again how you brought up Nick's pain with Leslie...I think your portrayal has been really honest and makes a lot of sense, why he's been acting the way he has. I'm sorry it took me a while to read, been a bit busy with work. Great update :)
Author's Response: Howie is, and has a better sense of humor than people expect LOL. I hate NKOTB...it comes out in this story lmao. Thanks about Leslie, it's why I wrote that one-shot first, cause I really wanted to be able to picture in my head how he was dealing with it. So then I could write Howie's observations of it. Aw poor Howie, of course he's valued, I love his voice and am glad we get to hear more of it now. LOL at Kevin not really liking the NK's, and tuning "I'll Be Loving You" out, that song is cringeworthy, but their new stuff is good.
I remember jumping around my living room like a teenager when they announced Kevin's return :)

Author's Response: Definitely! But I could see him worrying about it. I just hope we'll get to hear a lot of Kevin now too. Kevin had several interviews in the past where he put NKOTB on blast so he's made it clear he doesn't like them LOL. I was watching my video of the webstream as I wrote this and caught the tail end of "I'll be Loving You". Jordan can't sing!!!!! lmfao. It bugs me so I wrote it in. I was thrilled to hear Kevin come back, I was freaking out lol. Thanks Steph!

I really love Howie! See? He came through for you after all. I think Kevin's lack of leads really did play a factor in his exit & I bet he really did intentionally stay away from the announcement because of what you said. I wouldn't be surprised if it was NKOTB that said they didn't want him there because they'd have to pay him. They are only doing it for the money anyway tool wads!! I hate them, if you didn't already know. lol great job, Rose! I'm glad you updated!!
Author's Response: I know, he just took forever LOL. I think so too, that and the label giving them no freedom. Kevin even said in a recent interview how he'd been frustrated at a lack of creative freedom. So we know it was more than just wanting to start a family. I wondered why Kevin wasn't there, since he was there literally till the day before the show LOL. So there had to be a reason. I hate them too! So don't feel bad lol. Thanks Mare!

Loved the new chapter! I hope Howie and Kevin don't get shoved into the background. Funny how when they started the group they had the most solos and then when they became famous Brian and Nick started taking the solos.
yeah I remember from concerts Kevin actually getting the loudest screams. It was even in a review once of a concert I went to during the black and blue tour. the writer wrote how the oldest of the group was getting the most screams and not the blonde, haha!
Author's Response: Thanks! I don't think they will. Originally Howie was supposed to be the lead but then Brian joined the group so Lou shifted it. That's what Howie's sister said once anyway lol. I never knew that about Kevin though. Oops LOL.

Yay, the announcement! LOL at the Jordan mentions, I have to agree. Seeing NKOTB completely butcher "Don't Turn Out the Lights" solo was oh so painful. Run away, Joey! Save yourself!
I'd almost forgotten about Leslie's death but it's been brought up often recently. What you said is true, the pain of losing a loved one will always be there. I hope that he and anyone close to Leslie deal with it the best that they can. That's all that can be done.

Author's Response: LOL Thanks, yeah, it's not like you can't tell from this story I'm not a NKOTB fan. How does Joey survive in a group where only he can sing? :P. Poor Nick, the pain of Leslie was probably unbearable. It's all speculation though since the subject never comes up. Thanks again MA :)

Aww, this chapter brought back great memories of watching that concert and how excited we all were when they made that announcement! You did a great job with Howie's thoughts and fears that he might become invisible within the group again. I hope not! I enjoyed his thoughts about the other guys as well. I can see Mare's story from earlier inspired you! Nice update from my ZDRC! :)
Author's Response: Thanks! It sort of did and sort of didn't. Like I knew I was going to mention Leslie as soon as I got the story into 2012. I didn't want them to actually talk about it, more have Howie just sum up how Nick's been dealing with it and how he deals with things in general. That's why when I learned Mare was gonna cover Leslie I was like...great minds lol.

Personally, I think everyone always screamed loudest when Kevin got to sing. Least, at the shows I'd gone too, when he was around. And him coming back, God, if I'd been there, I would've been screaming hysterically too. Lol.
I enjoyed this chapter. And I agree, sometimes Jordan sounded off during the songs. But what do I know? I never really cared too much about them until now & his new song is catchy - lol. But Joey will remain my fave. :)

Author's Response: LOL you know, I can't remember. I remember a lot being for Nick (typical right? lol). Dude, I freaked out when I saw them say it on my computer, cause I was streaming it. So glad Kevin's finally back. I'm so not a fan of the NKOTB if you can't tell LOL. I think Joey's the only one who can sing. (I gotta admit his solo song "I love you came too late" I still love it lol). Jordan's WAY too pitchy for me. He can't sing on pitch to save his life so I hate his voice :P. Thanks Lenni!
