Excuse me while I go lay down in a fetal position. Your writing is beautiful. I can picture everything that is happening in your story. I feel bad for Brian, that's gotta be tough for a singer to go through because.... that's your life, your career, something that you love to do.
I can't help but be reminded of 1998 when Brian's health was put on the back burner because their fame was peaking. Who'd want to take a break when you're flying high right? Now to wait after the 20th anni. tour.
I feel all of their emotions, so great job describing that ;)

Nice job with Brian's POV. I really hope he is actively aware of how bad he sounds. Sometimes I really do think he's in a huge pool of denial. In fact in my brain that supposed fight He and Nick had of course was directly related to Nick insisting Brian back off of solos. lol I had a whole internal monlogue in my mind how that thing went down. Anyway, I do hope whatever the case he does get help for it, because I can't see him surviving an entire tour the way he sounds. I still think it's more or a breathing/auditory issue than a nodule one but in a way I hope it is just nodes because those are much easier to fix. Great update! Hope you get another one out soon! :O)
Author's Response: Thanks, I won't lie I am SO glad I don't have to write it again for this one. His POV is the hardest out of all of them. You know I think that might be it too for their argument and it did influence this chapter even though they didn't really fight. I have no idea what it is but I figured I'd go with one of the theories and hope that in real life it's an easier fix. Thanks Mare!

Great update, Rose. You're doing an awesome job. I wonder if Brian does have nodules on his vocal chords? Keith Urban had surgery to remove one in November 2011 and his was successful.

Aw poor Brian, but at least he's accepted the fact that he's got a problem and is trying to get it sorted. To pull out of the 20th anniversary would be awful, so I'm glad he's going to carry on with it!

Poor Brian. It hurts to admit but yeah his voice isn't what it used to be...and yes it sounds a bit better lately. I think it's good that they are willing to work around Brian's vocal issues....until he can get treated. Great chapter again as always...nice to see a update so soon LOL ;)
Author's Response: LOL my goal is to finish this novella ASAP. I'm determined! And yeah, Brian's issues are rough. That's makes writing his POV harder because he's not in a good place vocally right now. I do believe they're looking to work around him, because of ICTA (Kevin backing him, Brian having minimal solo time). Thanks Tracy!

Yay, so glad you finally got back into your writing groove and updated one of the old stories! This was a great chapter! It's interesting to see how the group dynamic is different with Kevin around - how it regressed to how it used to be in some ways (with Nick and AJ acting all hyper and immature), yet has changed in others (Kevin not automatically taking charge). I'm really excited to see what they come up as a fivesome with now that they have complete creative control over their album. And as much as I hate them allowing the media to talk about them "reuniting," I guess it is a good publicity move. You're doing an awesome job weaving all the real life stuff into the fictional aspect of the story. This chapter makes me miss last July and all the London awesomeness, but at least we're that much closer to the album and tour now! Great update, ZDR - keep 'em coming!

You know I was really thinking about how things would change, I would think in some ways those who acted mature to sort of show they're okay without Kevin (Nick/AJ cause in my head they were sorta hurt the most by it) feel they can go back more to how things were. But not everything's the same and it shouldn't be since Kevin left for a reason, so Kevin doesn't plan to take charge on everything. I HATE that Boys going with the "reuniting" crap so I have to justify it LOL. Thanks my Pandaskunk! I try to mix the real with the fictional as seamlessly as possible and hearing that from you (who did the best job of that ever with CC) is just huge. Thankies!
