OMG. Whenever this subject comes up I get emotional because I was at that NY show. I never ever want to see him so upset again. I can totally see that he blames himself partially for Leslie and that his family were assholes about it. Not many touch on this subject and you did a good job of capturing his pain :(
Author's Response: LOL it's funny cause I was talking to Mare and she mentioned covering it in hers and I was like...funny you say that cause... and we noticed no one's really covered it. And Nick's never even been asked in interviews. So I wanted to touch on it since I plan on mentioning it in another fic. I saw the videos of it and I can only imagine how hard it is to see that in person, because by the time the Chicago show came, he kept it together during that song. Thanks Tracy!

aww great minds... lol I completely see him feeling guilty that he didn't do more or see the warning signs or maybe he did and did reach out to her and that's why they were so distant? We can speculate all we want but in the end, he lost his little sister and i'm sure it broke his heart. Nicely done, Rose.
Author's Response: Right? LOL. Yeah there's a lot to speculate on since Nick never talks about it. Maybe he did know, maybe he didn't. Knowing the Carters, it could go either way. I can only imagine how much pain he's in. Thanks Mare :)
