Wow, le angst! Poor Nick, he shouldn't blame himself. Sometimes these things just happen, it doesn't mean it's his fault just because it was his birthday. I'm glad that they're both okay though. And I think Kevin's right that Nick shouldn't have sprung that on Brian while they were in the hospital, but like dude, he hasn't known who his real father is his whole life and he deserves to know the truth. I feel so bad for Nick, and for Kevin too because having to deal with Nick and keep this secret is likely not very easy on him either. Also feel bad for Brian, because when he finds out... oy. Great update, Tracy! Angsty hospital scenes are like... one of my most favourite things ever so this chapter was a fun read :)

Hard to imagine Nick not getting excited for Disney, but I guess he has his reasons! It really does show how much all of this is really affecting him. I loved Nick telling of Kevin and trying to get information and being like "I didn't care if I wasn't wearing pants!" LMAO. that cracked me up for some reason, just the image of him standing there in boxers all pissed and then him thinking that, haha!! You can really see how awkward things are between Nick and Brian now, and poor Brian has no clue why D: I can't wait to see what happens at Disney, and I'm curious as to how Nick's going to tell him and what Brian's reaction is going to be and yeah... update soon! lol loves it.

HOLY CRAP! That was pretty perfect how they begun the new year with Kevin telling Nick the truth. I loved how Nick was talking about the bombs and then Kevin drops a metaphorical bomb on him, brilliant! And Nick throwing the roll and nearly missing JT was also an amusing visual. Plus them watching the times square performance - BSB performed in that IRL right? I can't remember, haha. Great update, Tracy! Also the image of Kevin drunk was excellent, hiccuping and stuff haha.
Author's Response: Yay I'm glad that came across really good! I loved Drunk Kevin as well. BSB did do Prince's 1999 back in new years but I'm not sure if it was on TV, I just remember it being in the BSB photo book and Nick mentioning it. They did a show in Orlando on new years eve 1999.
Nick doesn't like NSYNC in this story and it is fun to use that even with AU. Glad you really enjoyed the chapter, it is one of my favorites. Thanks for the review Steph!

Oh man they are so close to telling Nick the truth! I'm surprised he hasn't completely put it together yet...but then again it's Nick LOL. I really liked the gift that Kevin gave him, I think that's so important and it's symbolic of his future (his future ambitions anyway) and his past and how the past will help to shape him into the person that he wants to be. I really love that - there was a show I watched where the character had a watch and he also had a date engraved on it where something bad happened and it served as a constant reminder to keep moving forward in life. Uh yeah anyway sorry for the ramble but it reminded me of that. Anyway I really enjoyed this chapter and I really enjoyed Nick and Brian's conversation as well. I wonder what Brian's reaction is going to be when they boys find out the news because his life has so far been far easier than Nick's and I'm sure this'll come as a big shock to him. I'm so anxious Tracy! This is a really great story, I'm definitely loving it! :)

Hmmm really interesting chapter! I felt so bad for Nick when he had the dream at the beginning :( But LOL at him learning how to milk a cow and being afraid of the machine! I wouldn't want to do that either! I liked the end where they were having dinner, and the fact that Harold seems to really not like Nick only supports my theory that Brian and Nick might be step-brothers! Hmmm! Great chapter, can't wait to see what happens next!
ps. Nick is right, canned cranberry sauce is the only way to go ;)
