Niall was quite harsh, but he's upset and to see photos so soon after their breakup of her so chummy with Nick was probably not fun for him. Though he kinda deserves it for cheating on her lol. I wonder if he really did throw it or if he said he would. She walked away, he might keep it for later if she really decides to go back. No, she and Nick definitely should not hook up. Nick is a cheater and she left Niall for that, it would definitely make her a hypocrite if she hooked up with Nick knowing his past.

Aw they worked through their own relationship junk. Okay now I see why Britney won't go back with Niall. It really was never going to work with him, Nick had a point. I kind of don't want them to hook up, really I don't. I don't know what it is but I don't want the love interests to end up together. *shrugs*
Author's Response: Nope, it was likely never going to end up working with him, not while he is so based in Europe and she spends most of her time in the states. They're not really love interests at this point in the story, so we'll see what happens!

Awe she's having fun. That is so nice to see considering she spent most of the time moping around. I also love that Kevin approached her, it seemed like she was alone the whole cruise except for Nick. I loved Nick's comment at the end about writing songs about the breakup with Niall, who by the way is a big idiot for threatening her like that. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: I think once she was able to talk about it with Nick she was able to move on a little bit! I sort of wanted to show that she'd been a little accepted into the group by having Kevin approach her towards the end of the cruise - and I imagine he'd be quite friendly when he's drunk haha. Niall is kind of the worst! Haha he probably shouldn't have sent her that text, but like Danielle said, he saw pictures so of course he's probably upset and acting out. Thanks Tracy :)

Aw Howie is so sweet. I love how in most stories he is the one who understands Nick and won't judge him. I'm glad Nick told him why he brought Brittany.
However, Brittany needs to move on like Nick said, she seems like she really needs to distract herself from it. I like that Nick is trying to help her and not get in her pants, its very sweet of him to talk to her. (although he does seem like a creep at times ;) lol) its nice that they have each other because now they're seeing their breakups from the other person's point of view. Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: I think he's really like that in real life too - the one who understands Nick and is the least judgmental of him. I really love writing about Howie and Nick together. I'm glad Nick told him too - now maybe the guys will get off his back a little? lol we'll see. I think Brittany needs to move on too, but she sucks at that, especially anything concerning Niall she just makes REALLY bad decisions. I like that Nick is trying to help her too, I think that's definitely the older brother side of him coming out - even if he's a bit creepy. Poor creepy Nick lol. Nick can be very astute when he doesn't realize. I love how even while slightly intoxicated he can manage to read right through how Brittany and Niall broke up. I liked how she got him away from everyone and the whole "men are pigs" comment....it sounds very much like something one would say after a break up. I also felt bad for Nick after he told her the truth and think he brought her along for company, because it seems like he and the guys aren't getting along well since the Lauren situation.
I also think Nick is slightly creepy in this and I somewhat like reading him like this ;) awesome update Steph!
Author's Response: I agree, I think Nick definitely has these smart moments where he's quite intuitive. I had originally thought that maybe Nick shouldn't have figured it out so easily, but in recent years he's been a lot more articulate in interviews and has seemed like he's better about picking up on things. I enjoyed writing her getting him away from everyone, haha! That part was really fun. I definitely think she'd be thinking that men were pigs after what happened and how Nick's been acting on the cruise (maybe not necessarily towards her, but just in general) I feel so bad for Nick in this story! I just want to hug him, even if he is being slightly creepy LOL. Thanks for the review, Tracy! I'm glad you liked it! :)

I would have higher hopes for the Backstreet Girls... I mean they all should know what it's like to be in that situation, okay well maybe not Leighanne or Kristen since they've been around the longest but Leigh and Rochelle I'm sure had to experience the "cold shoulder" that Britney is getting. Though I get Rochelle's animosity I'd still think they'd try to be more civil towards her.
I love how you keep sneaking in Niam heehee. Still waiting for the batshit crazy BSB fans to say/do something to her.
She really needs to suck it up and call him. Though I know I should be waiting for her to fall into bed with Nick, I kind of don't want her to. I want her to go back to Niall.
Author's Response: I would think they'd know better too, but it's probably less about Brittany and more about Nick for them, at this point. Especially Leighanne lol I'm sort of projecting my dislike of her on to this story, but meh! haha. And I hadddd to sneak in Niam! Especially if Danielle and Brittany are talking lol of course they'd comment on it. At least, in my perfect world they would comment on it! When I was writing the original 1D story my friend was like "you should just make Niall and Liam get together and make Brittany get run over by the tour bus." LMAO. Poor Brittany. I love how Nick was freaking out in the beginning and then she freaked out too about possibly sleeping with him. Also I liked her little observations and comparisons between BSB and One Direction, who matches up with who. The Brian part had me laughing. Great chapter again Steph and I'm looking forward to more :)
