Oh boy! I knew this was going to happen. I don't understand what the Richardson's have against Nick. He never did anything to them. They are so evil. I don't like them and I hope Nick never has to deal with them again.
As for what Harold said about Nick being like Brian, well that's just selfish. How can you expect people to change over night. And why wouldn't you want that person to be their self, have their own opinions, make their own decisions, develop their own passions & personality.
I hope talking to Amanda is helping Nick, but I feel like something drastic is going to happen. I hope it's for the best and not something to make Nick's situation worst.

I feel really horrible for Nick. He doesn't deserve to be treated like he is unwanted. They are the ones who opened up their home to him. If they didn't wanna take him in than they shouldn't have, even if Brian begged them to.
I'm sure he would have been treated much better in a orphanage, than to have people spewing mean comments about him. Especially when he could be around any moment to hear them.
I don't understand why they feel that after having him in an abused environment practical his whole life, that Nick can just forget about, turn it off like a switch, and miraculously change.
I just wanna wrap Nick up in my arms and tell him that it's all going to be okay. I know he takes everything to heart and it kills me that he doesn't know any better.
And I really wanna slap the shit out of Jerald and Ann, they are not different than his psycho mother.
I really feel for Nick in this chapter. Wonderful job.

I'm glad Nick is finally feeling safe with Jackie. Cooking is something he is used to doing so naturally he would be good at it, plus it will help him in the future. And I think it will help him to bond with Jackie. I'm hoping it will in some way be therapeutic for Nick as well.
This chapter is making me feel a little bit better. I have hope that Nicholas is going to be alright.

This breaks my heart. Nick was treated so cruelly that it's hard for him to accept that people want to help him and are genuine about it. I hope he can learn to adjust and begin to trust the Littrell's a little more.

This story is so heartbreaking but I couldn't stop reading it. The things a human body can endure amazes me. I don't think I could ever live through something so traumatic but Nick is so strong. I'm glad that he has Brian and Amanda to turn to. And that they got him help before it was too late. I hope the judge orders his mom to a long sentence in prison where she can be beat within an inch of her own life and see how it feels. I don't understand parents that neglect and beat their own flesh and blood. If you don't want the child there are plenty of places that will take them in and give them a good life. Sorry for such a long review but the passion just flowed out of me. You ladies are doing a great job of writing this story. I'm anxiously awaiting the next update.
