Author's Response: Nick's character in this story is so complex. I think this is one of the most complex Nicks I've ever written because I also feel like this is one of the most realistic personality types of his I've written also. Nick doesn't MEAN to be an asshole, it's a side effect of being who he is, raised the way he was in the limelight, and adored by millions of people that know nothing (really) about him. I feel like he's a victim of his own fame. He's so used to being the diva, but he's honestly trying to be better. I almost wanna write a story like a couple years before this to see what kind of assholery Nick produces when he's in the height of his divahood. LOL

He's not trying to get with Sam, so he's just being al naturale. Smoothness is something he has to work on to achieve. LOL Luckily for him, Sam likes him as he is... (even if she's questioning why, LOL)

I'd intended to post last night, but it was supposed to cut off in a different place that just wasn't long enough for the word count and I had to go back in and work on some detailing and extend the scene a little bit into what the next chapter holds... Like I said earlier today , I do believe Nick is in for a rude awakening because he is so infatuated with Cora he doesn't realize she probably is never going to be with him. He is probably gonna end up losing Sam too, as he doesn't notice that she likes him nor the fact she sees him for who he is.
