You're right, this isn't a traditional Nick story. :) Strangely, Nick eliminating the "best" from his description of his friendship with Brian is what got to me the most. Eagerly awaiting the next update!!
Author's Response: I try not to write traditional stories at all. I find traditional boring. Luckily, my brain works in twisty ways to bring on the crazy. There's a lot of places this story's going to touch before it's over and Brian and Nick's friendship happens to be one of them (which is one of the main reasons I chose VSD to be the condition Matty's got).
