Just finished the latest two chapters. Amazing as always! I loved the fact that Nick brought Matty his first turkey and I was enthralled by Brian and Nick's phone call. I think it's great how you have created a whole secondary story line with the two of them. Also, I totally think that Brian is gonna show up at the hospital with a miracle weilding doctor in tow. :)
Author's Response: Secondary storylines are one of my favorite writing devices. All my stories always have at least one or two underlying storylines that go on in the background or alternate for foreground. I rarely write a story that's straight up just the face value of the story... Sometimes without anyone really even noticing it until I wrap everything together. My Frick & Frack stuff always seems to crawl its way in. Those two and their relationship has always fascinated me, so it tends to sneak in even when I don't particularly plan for it to.

I agree with Matty! I hope the reason Brian broke off the call so fast was to start working on an action plan for Matty.

Brian and Nick's conversation was intense and wonderfully written. I loved how nick accidentally let it slip that the child he was talking about was his son and doubly loved Brian basically hanging up on him. Also the bit at the end with Matty saying it'd be cool if Nick was their family. GAH.

aww Nick, I think Brian just needs time to think, and I really want Abbey to tell matty that Nick is his father, they both need each other!
