Believe me when I say its not typically my style, and it was a twist in the storyline I didnt expect when I started writing the story or else there wouldve been a fictional fiance ;) Not to give anything away or anything..

I love Nick for doing that for Matty! I hope that Abbey doesn't have to know what life without Matty would be like.
Author's Response: I hope not either! I guess we'll find out soon. I really loved outlining this chapter. It was based off something my family really did once and I thought it would be really fun to infuse that happy moment into the story. Stuff like that can really create the best memories.

Author's Response: We did this with my mom the year she was sick in the hospital. It really raises spirits when you do stuff like this. I thought it would be fun to bring that scene into this story. :)

Author's Response: LOL The last line actually came from a version of this chapter I wrote where Nick DID drop the turkey. When I rewrote the chapter with Nick NOT dropping the turkey, I just felt like his character was like oh thank God that part got rewritten! Haha... So I had to put him in there saying he was glad he didn't drop the turkey! Just a little glimpse behind the scenes so to speak. LOL
