Oh, no, notifications haven't been working! At least that means I get three chapters all at once!
The plot is moving along nicely. I am a bit upset that we never did get to find out much about how Nick and Howie worked having a relationship during the summer. I wonder if the paparazzi encounter is going to come back to haunt them. It's nice to see Nick and Lauren talking again, and I look forward to the complications this is likely to produce.

Yeah, I kind of fast-forwarded through the rest of summer, but it's safe to assume it was more of what you saw leading up to that point, since they're still together and seem to be doing okay. Started reading this yesterday. I'm a huge slash reader/writer but this is not typical slash and I love it. It's such an amazing story. I've never read howie/nick before. Never liked it but you have me rooting for them. Absolutely AMAZING....now I will have to be patient lol. Great job.
Author's Response: Thanks!! I had never written a slash before this and am not a big slash reader either, so that's probably why it doesn't read like a typical slash. That said, it means the world to me to get compliments from slash readers/writers, so thank you again! I'm glad you're rooting for Howie and Nick. wow! been reading this and its truly the best fan fic I ever read. couldn't believe Nick just walked away from Lauren like that! You are amazing holding down the characters in this manner, I can see both Nick and Lauren acting like that...Nick is being irrational but I cannot help but understand at the same time. I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid( and I hope he has his medication on him!) another great chapter, looking forward to more!!

When Leigh asked the James to leave the room, I knew I had to take a deep breath to take in some bad news. I felt so bad for Howie being delivered divorce papers while he's still recovering and away from his boys. I guess it had to happen sooner or later.
Geez, Howie, your fictional life is really f*cked up, lol. I'd give you a hug, but I don't wanna make you more sick. Stay strong, Howard. You'll eventually get to see your boys again, I hope. ;)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm sure Nick is not used to feeling this way LOL. Lauren has had to put up with a lot, being with him in real life, and that's why I'm writing her this way. I'd like to think she would support him through something like this and put up with his paranoia.

Well, what a chapter. Amongst all the drama, I think my favorite part was the little bit about how maybe they should have just said "jinx" and moved on. It was a nice little touch. Now to theorize about that phone call...

I wrote the short story as a challenge just to see if I could write a slash seriously, but this is really what happens when I try to write "slash" LOL. I was thinking that even a drunk Nick would not have "gone" that far... So maybe there was hope you wouldnt give Nick a deadly disease but I should count on you to NOT not do that to him.
And then I thought even if it went that far the chance of contracting it the first time is much less then say Leigh getting it... But again I know you and well again I should know better.
Onward.... With the story!
Author's Response: LOL You should never count on me to NOT not do something! :) Nick's chances of contracting it from that one time, assuming Howie had it first, are very slim, though not impossible. Then again, like you said, you know me! LOL Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I suspected it last chapter and now it's true! Knew it! Also know chances of Nick getting or from Howie by oral sex are slim since Nick was on the receiving end of the deal, even tho Nick bit his tongue and Howie was bleeding. Without any open wounds present, saliva is actually a bad transporter and even if you ingest such a little amount of hiv + blood chances are slim. Love it tho as a medical person myself and Im very curious to see where you take it!!
