When Nick cut his finger I thought maybe he'd cut it deeper and have to go and get stitches or something which would require a blood test, like maybe the cut becoming infected. Now I'm wondering if Lauren had it first? Can't wait to see!

I was having an anxiety attack all the way through this chapter. I just wanted to scream at Nick to put on a condom and to keep his bloody finger away from everyone!! I like how you have presented all of the happiness in Nick's life. It will be an excellent contrast to the next chapter, which I'm sure is going to be highly emotional and devastating. Great job!!
Author's Response: LOL That was exactly the reaction I was hoping for! I needed one more chapter to fill before that conversation comes in the next chapter, so I thought, "Hey, why not show a possibly-infected Nick potentially infecting other people throughout the chapter?" Thanks for the review!!

Nice short 'family' chapter. Nick's hopes and dreams, his awkward feelings of what happened with Howie on the cruise still in his mind....
