Anyways....
I loved the part where Nick told him he needs him and apologized. Cause they're both being asses right now. Nick for being a dick about everything and Howie for being stupid and trying to kill himself. I am glad Nick chose to apologize. I feel that is why Howie decided to sign the consent, he saw that hope that maybe things could go back to the way they were. Reading on. Great chapter.

Oh my god! After all that persuasion this happens! I do hope the doctors get to him in time and that he has the transplant. I really think Nick and Howie can get through this and be friends again. Nick wasn't just saying it to get him to have the operation.

Of course you would end a perfectly lovely chapter with THAT!! Ugh! I was feeling all warm and fuzzy as Nick and Howie were finally having a real conversation and then you had to go and make Howie go all rigid and dying and stuff. *sniff* How could you DO that?? Oh dear, the courage it took for Nick to swallow his pride and visit Howie in the ICU. That sorta thing is never easy to do and especially considering the circumstances, you can feel Nick's stress factor in response to the matter. There's such an inner turmoil being conveyed and I really do like how you express it. And then at the end with Howie's seizure and the helplessness Nick feels... Lady, you've always been one of my favorite torturers. LOL Can't wait for an update!
