Way to stall on the results for Nick!!! Howie has a lot of guilt on his shoulders and feels horrible about everyone, everything that has changed because of his slip up.....I will be curious to see what Nick's test results are. If he is HIV positive I would think he would kill Howie or himself......

UGh! You're killin me here not knowing Nick's results yet!! Poor Howie..I can't even imagine. It's one thing letting your family and your "brothers" know what happening, but a whole nother thing letting the world know or speculate. And Lord knows how this fanbase operates.

I'm still feeling more sorry for Howie than I am for Nick. The line where Nick mentioned that he wanted nothing to do with Howie ever again made me tear up a little. So sad!! Anyways, is it wrong that I hope that Nick is infected?? I just think that it would create some AMAZING drama. LOL I love that you have sucked me into this story.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you're feeling sorry for Howie. Nick might be overreacting a bit, but you can't blame him for being upset at finding out he might have an incurable disease. It's not wrong at all that you're hoping he's infected. It would definitely make for some amazing drama! ;)

Aw that's got to be tough to actually go and get tested for, but he needed to do it. How will he manage to not have sex with Lauren though? She'll get suspicious.
I really feel sorry for Howie though, he's getting all the blame and it might not be down to him.

I guess I don't understand how the who gave it to who question came up. Realistically (i know it's fanfic but Julie does like to write real situations) Holden had Aids. You have to have HIV before and timing would say that Holden had to have had the virus since birth for it to have already developed into Aids. If Howie got it from Nick on the cruise--- Howie would of had to have spread it to Leigh which could be done but Leigh would of had to give it to Holden in only 1 month and he would still have the virus as it most like would not developed into Aids yet!
Nicks reaction to the situation is how I would of pictured it. I would be so angry. I actually think he held it together better than I thought he would.
Come on Friday though I don't know why I want that chapter to come. The little hope I have for Nick not to have HIV only would exist if this was someone else's story. Nick=sick is your motto but at least this time you seem to be expanding to other BSB also!!!!!
Bwt.... I can't watch the q/a cruise vids with all the gay questions without laughing. You warp my mind with crazy thoughts about Howie.

Also, gold star to you for being the only one to realize that, judging by the timeline of this story, there's only one way this could have worked. Three weeks isn't long enough for HIV to spread through three people AND become serious enough to turn into full blown AIDS. I was surprised by all the speculation, but I realize most people reading aren't paying as much attention to the timeline as I am when I'm planning all this out. Now I kinda wish I had made it more ambiguous so no one really knows who had it first... that would have been interesting! Thanks for the review! :)

Damn. Why do you have to be one of those writers that doesn't use realistic testing results (aka we run the test & the dr. will be back in a sec. to let u know the results). I agree with Nick still being pissed with HIV Howie.....funny for Nick thinking he'll have to keep his dick in his pants away from horned up Lauren til he gets the results back.

Oh Nick....poor Nick and not getting laid for two weeks ans thinking Lauren will be suspicious when he won't have sex. Lol.
I am still team Howie. While Nick has a right to be mad hes kinda a jerk. I don't blame him but poor Howie :(
I think I can't wait to see the next chapter to find out who gave who the aids. After seeing Rose's review she got me thinking maybe it was Howie after all, Nick just felt sick cause let's face it, hes full of germs anyway. Great chapter!

I think it's Howie who infected Nick, but that's more because everything hit him first. Leigh, Holden, etc. Nick's didn't start till after the cruise. Obviously that's not even remotely concrete but it's my theory LOL.

Nick reacted exactly like I expected him to. My heart is breaking for poor Howie at this point. I know that Nick's behaviour was completely warranted given the news that Howie delivered, but I just kept waiting for Nick to lose some of his edge and realize that what Howie just did was incredibly hard for him. It's killing me to see their relationship falling apart like this! I better not have to wait ages to find out Nick's results!!! Excellent update!

I'm impressed Nick didn't punch him LOL. Poor Howie. I'm starting to wonder who infected who but even if it WAS Nick who gave it to Howie...it's Howie's fault. He knew he was taking advantage of a completely trashed Nick and went too far. So if Howie hadn't done that he wouldn't be in this mess. (Well if it was Nick who passed it along, if it was the other way at least his bandmate/bro wouldn't hate him). And LOL I got a good laugh last chapter at all the OMG NO moments that a HIV positive person shouldn't be doing.

OMG, I'm gotten hooked on this fic. I've registered on this site just to give my two cents on it. 95% of what I read is slash so I had to check this out. I agree that the more realism a fic has, the better it is. This fic makes me feel like crying and laughing because although this HIV outbreak is devastating, I can breathe a sigh of relief and jump for joy that it's just make believe. ^_^
I had to hold onto my seat with Howie's revelations with Leigh and Nick. Poor babies, I feel so bad for the Doroughs. Leigh is betrayed by her unfaithful husband and Howie has to be the bearer of bad news and trying to keep his family from falling apart. And he's not even sure if he's entirely straight. You just can't help but feel bad for Sweet D even though it was his fault what happened to Holden. The layers of angst are giving me chills in a great way. =D

bombshell. He had sympathy, denial and the rage
within a split second. Howie put him over the edge when he offered to go with him to a clinic to get a
rapid HIV test.
