Poor Howie, what a way to find out :( But I'm glad he had the two girls there, and that they were normal fans and not crazy nutters.
Author's Response: I wanted to make Howie find out in a different way (i.e. not sitting at home with his family) in order to mix things up a bit. I debated about having the fans be nut-jobs, but in the end I just couldn't make Howie's experience any more horrible.

Poor Howie. What a horrible way to find out something like that. It's a good thing that those two girls weren't crazy fans because you know how much of a crap shoot that could be. LOL It's nice that they all know. Now I'm curious to see where you are taking this.
Author's Response: I agree; poor Howie!! If those fans had been total nutters it would have been a full-blown Twitter/TMZ disaster for Howie. You may be surprised at the way things eventually turn out.

That was a really interesting way for Howie to find out; I'm glad you found a way to set his scene apart from the others so it wasn't just more of the same. Poor guy! I'm glad he founds fans who were normal and compassionate instead of crazy.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! That's exactly what I was trying to do; mix things up a little bit. I felt that it would be too redundant if I had Howie sitting at home with his wife and kids when he found out. Thank God for some normal fans!!

As I said with the previous chapter, i love how each of the boys are having a normal day then WHAM. I also really liked how AJ knew exactly what to say to Howie to get him to talk. Glad those fans were normal and helped him rather than freak out or take photos. Poor Howie. Cannot wait for another chapter and to see what the hell happened to Nick and where Lauren is.
Side note: I don't mind the Nick torture either LOL, I have tortured him plenty and I love angst/drama. Great job so far!
Author's Response: I figured that would be the most realistic way to go. That's usually how the news of death is spread ... it just kind of creeps its way in to your normal day. The story will definitely take some turns before it's over.

The last chapter was heartbreaking and so was this one. But I love the angst! (Glutton for punishment...) What a way for Howie to find out and he got lucky those two fans were completely sane. I LOL'd a little at how AJ knew Howie too well and his avoidance tactics. Now that everyone in the group knows, I'm eager to see what comes next.
It's not often I'm this excited for a story by a "new" author. So I'm glad you're here! You should join the forums, we can always use new blood there LOL.
Author's Response: I'm actually beyond happy that you found them "heartbreaking" as I'm taking it to mean that I'm doing a good job. :) My heart jumped a little when you said that you were "excited" for the story. Thanks for that! I wonder what the chances would be of Howie finding two sane fans if the situation were to actually happen? I'm willing to bet that (in reality) he would have found the nuttiest ones of all. LOL Forums eh? I've never actually thought about joining, but I wouldn't mind becoming part of the "community". Hopefully, you guys are nice to the newbies!! ;P
