I can't believe how unsupportive Leighanne is being. Brian needs the people he loves to be 100% on his side right now. At least AJ is with him!

This was a heartbreaking chapter. I actually got a little choked up when AJ mentioned how Ava would never know Nick. I very rarely get emotional when reading fanfics although I also tend to stay away from the whole death thing too. lol Sadly, I can completely see Leighanne acting the way you have portrayed her. Cold and selfish. I'm glad that Brian had AJ to travel down to TN with. As far as Lauren...It's sad to say I'm hoping she ends up being the dead one and Nick is actually alive and well. Great chapter.
Author's Response: I'm pleased that you became a little choked up at AJ's comments, but I'm sorry that I made you emotional. I think you've mentioned before that you usually stay away from death centered stories, and I'm thrilled that you're continuing to read this one. I know that I have started off a little slowly, but things will get more interesting as the plot moves forward. Also, I think that most people would agree with you in the sense that they would prefer for Lauren to be the dead one.

Aww, I love that AJ and Brian are driving up together. I've always enjoyed their relationship. Sad about Leighanne, though. And the part where they were talking about the kids not remembering Nick and Nick never turning 80 really got to me! This is heartbreaking, but I love it!!
Author's Response: I'm a total "ARok" fan! Sometimes I enjoy the AJ/Brian relationship more than the Frick/Frack pairing. I intend to build a bit more on both of those relationships as things move along. I'm happy that the bit about the kids got to you. I was hoping to tug at some heartstrings with that part.

Whoa at Leighanne not doing a damn thing to comfort Brian. That's wow. And while I (lately lol) have my opinions of her, I could see this scenario playing out if a few circumstances changed. I also love that Kevin told them not to come so obviously they are and he's expecting them most likely LOL.
On the note of the AC forum, yes we're friendly to new members! LOL we mainly talk "shop". Anywho, enjoyed the update per usual. :)
Author's Response: I debated for quite a while about adding that stuff about Leighanne. In the end, I kept the comments because they will add to the way in which I'm intending to present Brian's character as the story goes on. (I know that I will eventually take some flack for altering his "usual" character, but oh well!) It's good to know that you guys are friendly in terms of the forums and that won't bite me! :) LOL

Looking for a new story to read and I'm glad I started reading this. Your style of writing is very vivid. The emotions feel so realistic! I have my thoughts on what has happened with Nick and I can't wait to see what's next....
