So this is where I start going all Nancy Drew. Brian's behavior leads me to think he might know more about the situation concerning Nick then he is letting on. Maybe he was aware Nick was in some kind of trouble? Maybe he's the one that was in trouble and Nick got in trouble trying to bail him out? Maybe that trouble has to do with Leighanne? It all comes back to Leighanne. lol I loved the little moment AJ had with Nacho and I also am enjoying how insightful you are making AJ in this story. Looking forward to see how things unfold.
Author's Response: I used to love Nancy Drew books when I was a kid!! Every girl has an inner Nancy as far as I'm concerned. :) I'm loving all of your speculation about Brian. I find it really interesting to see how different people are interpreting all of the little plot elements. You'll have to wait and see how it all plays out. LOL - I'm glad that you liked the Nacho comments.

Author's Response: Thanks! I will be doing a little re-working of Brian's character as the story goes on. I'm tired of him being a "goody-goody" -- it's time to shake Brian up a little bit. I won't go crazy though, just a few little changes here and there.

Love the chapter & the heated argument amongst the two cousins adding to the tension that is
already in Nick's house.

Author's Response: Lauren's whereabouts will be revealed within the next few chapters. I think most people are now with you in the sense that they think she is somehow involved with Nick's death. You'll have to wait and see!

Yay, more A-Rok bromance! The last line made me laugh. I really like your unique portrayal of Brian in this story, how you're going beyond the stereotype of him being this pussy-whipped holy roller. I also like that I'm getting the old Frick and Frack vibe from how hard he's taking Nick's death. I know they grew apart over the years, but it does seem like they've been closer since Nick got his shit together, and I do think Brian would take it incredibly hard (as they all would) if anything like this ever happened. It's a good thing AJ was there for him. Like I said, I'm loving the bromance!! You're doing such an awesome job writing the guys' emotions and interactions with each other. I love this story!!!
Author's Response: I like that you're appreciating my portrayal of Brian. I just couldn't bring myself to make him (to use your words) a "pussy-whipped holy roller". In my mind, Brian is so much more than that. It sometimes feels as though he's hiding stuff about himself ... like he has this inner "bro" who is just dying to come out. In regards to your bromance comment, there will be plenty more as the story goes along!! Thanks again for another wonderful review!
