I hope the police are not trying to say that Kevin might be a suspect! I'm glad he called his wife and got to discuss some things with her. Maybe this will make it easier to deal with the guys.

Author's Response: For some reason, I feel that Kevin and Kristin really lean on each other. I couldn't see Kevin going through something like this and NOT contacting his wife.

I love Kevin. Just felt the need to say that. I also enjoy Kristin. Their conversation felt very real. At this point I'm pretty positive Nick is alive (although I'm so behind maybe he's been way confirmed dead by now lol) Just with all the foreshadowing about identifying his body...makes sense it won't be him. Maybe Lauren is behind the whole thing or she's being held where he is after they maybe accidentally stumbled onto something they shouldn't have seen? I really think it all comes back to Leighanne and her Wylee stuff. Perhaps they found a bunch of children gluing together Leighanne's stuff and she hired someone to 'detain' them! lmao kidding...although...seriously great chapter! Hoping to read more this weekend and hopefully I'll catch up!

Author's Response: I second your statement, Kevin is amazing! I am beyond happy that he made the decision to come back to the group. I was shaking with laughter over your suggestion that Leighanne hires children to glue together her stuff. I am beginning to sense a theme in your reviews - ROTFL. I'm enjoying all of your speculation about where Nick and Lauren are. Seeing as how you're a bit behind, you will just have to wait and see how it all plays out. :)

poor kevin. i feel bad for him, wonder what would happen to the guys if kevin broke down and couldn't keep it together like the norm is. another great chapter.

Author's Response: If Kevin were to fall apart, I think that Howie would step up and fill his shoes. I don't know why ... I just get that vibe from Howie sometimes.

Ooh... could Nick's family have had something to do with this?? His mom, specifically. I guess there is motive, with what you said about the will - that was what I inferred, anyway, that it would default to her if Lauren was dead, though if Nick went to all the trouble of putting the Boys ahead of her on the Next of Kin notice form, maybe not. But she wouldn't know that. Interesting possibility... I'm definitely thinking along the lines of Kevin, that something about the police's story doesn't add up.

Author's Response: Kevin's a smart guy. I just HAD to have him be the one to play detective and to try and figure things out. However, there's nothing to say that Kevin is correct. ;P

I am starting to think Kevin is onto something, I love the boys playing detective. I love how the wives are helping each other and trying to help their husbands (except Leighanne). It seems very real.

In the previous chapter I enjoyed Brian and AJ and the fact AJ feels like he doesn't really know Brian as well as he thought.

Author's Response: Kevin's a pretty smart guy. You may be surprised when you find out if his theory is correct or not. I love the "ARok" pairing. It's so much fun to write the two of them together. There will definitely be more of the two of them hashing things out as the story moves along.

I love how you've painted Howie. Always the ever lover peacemaker. I hope Kevin doesn't try to do it all on his own. He should take Kristen's advice and ask for help. What are the guys up to now downstairs. What a rude awakening haha. Sounds like my neighbors, blaring music early in the am. Looking forward to the next update

Author's Response: I'm so glad that you liked my portrayal of Howie. I find him very hard to write. You know Kevin ... he's stubborn. I agree that he needs to take his wife's advice in this situation though. Ugh!! Loud/rude neighbours are the WORST!! I've been there and done that before.

I love the way you write the interactions between the guys and their wives, it comes across very real!

I really wanna know what is going on with Lauren! hopefully we find out soon!!
Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm trying to make each other of their relationships come across with their own "personality". The mystery involving Lauren will be revealed in the next few chapters ... I promise. :)

Good start with Kevin & Howie talking out their theories & coming to terms about whats happened to Nick. LOL on the massive pizza boxes and smiles on AJ &Brian's faces.

Love the Kevin/Kristin interaction. You portrayed the conversation like it should be between a husband & wife in a time of anguish. Seemed realistic.

Anxious to read more!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for all of the positive comments. I'm so glad that you enjoyed so many aspects of this chapter. I feel like Kevin and Kristin have a really solid relationship; the type where neither one of them ever has to say very much in order to get their point across.
