Aww, I was with Kevin at the beginning of this chapter. The boys being that jovial would have made me angry as well. I loved the memories you shared as Brian was staring at all the pictures on Nick's computer. As a fan, I would have wanted a little more than what they came up with for their statement, but it was fitting indeed. I love that you made Howie lose it.
Author's Response: I'm glad that you took Kevin's side. Everyone else was pissed that he broke up their good time. :) As a fan, I also would have wanted more. However, I can totally see the guys releasing a short statement like that if something like this were to actually happen. They always seem to leave us wanting a little bit more ...

Oh god... Their message made me tear up! :'( I love how they were all having fun and laughing at the beginning of the chapter and then crying by the end. That change just captures so well what it's like to lose someone you love. You do have those moments where you get to laughing at funny stories and whatnot, but then there are those moments of despair, when you realize they're gone. Gone without goodbye... I love it. Great chapter!
Author's Response: As I told someone else who commented below, I "borrowed" the message from Brian's solo CD. I thought that it captured the moment perfectly. I had to interject some fun into the beginning of this chapter ... things had been too sad for too long. I'm glad that you thought it was realistic.

You know, when I dealt with losing my mom in 2012, my cousin had me for a little bit actually laughing. And then when grief took over again as I'd known it would, I felt guilty. I sort of got the vibe AJ did when Kevin brought them back to the reality of things. Poor Brian, this is hardest for him. But that's because I think besides Nick/Kevin, he and Nick had the closest bond at one point. And that sort of thing never fully dies.
Love the message he came up with too. So sad yet sweet.
Author's Response: I'm sorry to hear that you lost your mom. I can't even begin to imagine what that must have been like for you. I think everyone feels a little bit guilty when they find themselves having a good time after someone close to them has passed. AJ was definitely feeling that way when Kevin broke up their good time.

Damn you!!! You made me cry!!! AGAIN!! I know for a fact, I seriously could NOT take it if this ever happened in real life. Just the way stories like this effect me when I read them and they aren't real. I was rolling at them singing "Talk Dirty To Me"..lol LOVE that song! But the message...THAT was perfection. VERY well done.

I'm wondering if the website post of Nick's death may be a little premature because no one has officially identified the body yet (I'm hoping there's a been a mistake lol).

Author's Response: I figured that they deserved to have some fun at least for a little while. Of course Kevin was the one to ruin it ... always the serious one. It seems as though quite a few people are hoping there's been a mistake (in terms of Nick). You'll find out soon enough!
