I'm so glad we are finally at the morgue. Did that sound horribly morbid? I meant it to sound the opposite because once they realize it's not Nick, the mystery part of this story will start and I'm dying to see what you have had in store for us this entire time! Unless that was Nick. If that's the case I really need to brush up on my Nancy Drew skills. LOL I absolutely love Kevin and Howie scenes. This entire chapter was awesome. I can't even imagine what a horrible task that would be to have to identify one of your best friends at a morgue. Loved your descriptions at the end before Howie passed out!
Author's Response: Ha!! I was actually thrilled that they were at the morgue when I was writing the chapter. The scene with Howie and Kevin going to identify the body was actually one of the first scenes that I did the outline for when I was thinking of writing the story. I love how the two of them seem to play off of each other in real life and I wanted to try and capture that in a stressful situation. Thanks again for all of the positive comments about my writing. It means a lot.

I was worried when I read the part about them getting coffee that they would end up puking it up. I love how you are writing Howie's character. Going from funny in the beginning of the chapter, then seeing Kevin's emotion, hearing about Howies to the sickness both men felt, in your 2000 some words, you packed a ton of emotion. You have a real gift

wow what a dramatic chapter. Loved that it was in Howie's POV and their reactions to identifying Nick's body. I really wanna know if it was him or not cause tattoos can be copied, I have seen fans replicate his music note one before.
Anyways, I really can't wait for another chapter!
Author's Response: I have seen so many fans with Nick's music note tattoo! My friend and I actually spend time at concerts looking around to see how many replicas of the guys' tattoos that we can spot in the crowd. Sometimes the number is quite startling ... Anyways, I'm glad that you appreciated the fact that this chapter was from Howie's POV. For some reason, I just had to have Howie be the one to tell this part of the story.

Hello! My name is Ritz. I have something to admit that I am really guilty of... I have read A Dash of Cinnamon, really enjoyed the story, and it made my lunch time here in the office better, BUT, I did not leave a single review. I am really, really sorry for that. I just steal a few minutes of internet time here in the office during lunch break, as we are not allowed to use the internet for personal reasons. So, I check AC without signing in, so I could not leave a review. I meant to send you a message or e-mail, but when I get home and greeted by a grinning, energetic toddler, I forget everything that I should be doing. lol I promise that one day, I can send you an e-mail regarding a dash of cinnamon. :)
Now, I love this story! I love the suspense, I love the A-rok moments as I am an A-rok girl from the start, and I love how you write the scenes. You are now one of my favorite writers. But, can I hate you for a while because of the cliffhanger? lol
If you don't hear from me in the next chapters, rest assured I am still reading. I just cannot post a review. Even though, I really want to. :)

I dunno why, but I'm still hanging onto the hope its not Nick under that sheet. Tattoos can be replicated...and Howie and Kevin could be just reacting from WHAT they saw, not WHO they saw.
If you only knew my HATRED of cliffys!! lol!! Very intense chapter...I like how Kevin finally showed a chink in his armor. Very nicely done! I love this freakin story!!! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Oh my god! The end of this chapter was so hard to read, although for a second there I felt cheated cause I thought you weren't going to show the identification, so I'm glad you made it so Howie had to go in too. This whole time I was hoping there had been some kind of mistake, since it took so long for them to finally identify the body, but it seems it really is Nick. Poor Howie and Kevin... what a horrible thing to have to do! :( You wrote this chapter really well!
Author's Response: For some reason, I felt like it had to be Howie telling this part of the story. Howie and Nick seem to have this special relationship and it just wouldn't have been right if the identification was told from anyone else's point of view. I'm sorry that you're a bit upset with the outcome, but you will have to wait and see how it all plays out. There's still so much more of the story left to tell.
