Awwww this chapter was very sweet. I HATED that I fell behind on this story and so it is my current goal to catch up LOL. I really loved how you touched upon the Frick and Frack bond and even how AJ's encroached on it over the years in this chapter. Poor Boys, it's one thing to be told it's not Nick's body. It's another to see him in person.

I squealed when I saw Nick's name LOL.
I totally understand why Nick was a bit offended they were at his house and talking in private, he was confused and after they told him why I think he understood as well. I loved their reactions to seeing him alive, it was very believable. AJ practically tackling him while Brian hung back like he was afraid. I wonder what it would have been like if Kevin had seen him first.
I loved that Frick and Frack hugging moment, I live for those. looking forward to Howie and Kevin seeing Nick too!
Author's Response: YAY for making your squeal! LOL I also have a huge soft spot for any kind of Frick and Frack moment. There will be plenty more of those as the story progresses. Poor Nick - I would have reacted the same way that he did if I had showed up at my house and my two close friends were seemingly randomly chilling in my backyard.

Well, just like that, I'm behind again *sigh* lol but I guess as problems go, this is a good one because at least I always have something to read. I loved the re-emergence of Nick and the fact that he just happened to be away. I'm kind of confused where he was. I liked the idea of Lauren's cleanse as to why she wasn't contacting anyone. I'm sure you'll elaborate on what the deal with Nick was. AJ is so cute! I can completely see him reacting the way he did. Like a puppy happy to see his owner again! Also enjoyed reading how emotionally draining it was on Brian to find out the truth. I can't wait to see Kevin's reaction. LOL I can hear him lecturing from here! Great update!

It's nice to know that you appreciated AJ's reaction. I loved writing him being all super happy and excited. As you already know, Kevin does a bit more interrogating than lecturing, but his reaction turns out to be "classic Kevin" nonetheless.

This was an amazing chapter. I didn't expect Nick to appear so soon, but it was effective in that the reader's surprise is subsequently echoed in AJ and Brian's, particularly in the aftermath of Kevin's news. I thought you made the most out of such an emotional scene, focusing on the characters' traits and reactions, so we can get inside esp. Nick's head, and infer the motivations for Brian's and AJ's different reactions. I also find that you're addressing Nick's and Brian's relationship so insighfully and delicately. I really hope that you'll be writing the next chapter from Brian's perspective.
On a more plot-oriented note, I'm looking forward to getting back to Kevin and Howie for more investigation into the "Nick" murder...
Finally, I'd be interested to know if there's any symbolic intent in the span of three days from Nick's "death" unti his return. ;)

The next chapter has been posted and it's not from Brian's perspective, but the next chapter will be from Brian's point of view. It will touch on Nick and Brian's relationship and provide some more insight into Brian's past behaviour. There will likely be more questions surrounding the "Nick murder" before any answers are revealed. Sorry about that!! LOL I hope that you continue to read and to enjoy the story as much as you are now. Thanks again for all of the positive comments!!

Glad to see Nick is back!! Interesting take on AJ's joyful reaction and Brian's uncertain response toward Nick. What a dumbass for not checking to see why the guys had tried calling his phone so many times, and Lauren too.
This is still so odd that if they were going away on a planned outing that they wouldn't have put Nacho in a kennel? (it's just the paranoid dog lover in me lol)
Loved the update; can't wait to see Kevin & Howie's reaction when they see Nick.
Author's Response: I wanted to make their reactions different and AJ just seemed like he would be the one to show the most excitement. If I were to go away, I would definitely put my dog in a kennel. However, my friends have gone away for a week and left their dog at home alone. They just stock up the food and water and make sure that their pup has access to the backyard through a doggy door. I figured that Nick and Lauren could do the same for Nacho simply because I needed Nacho's presence to play up the illusion that Nick was really dead. :P

The best non-dramatic (is that a term? lol) chapter yet! When I saw Nick’s name as the chapter’s title, I was like Yay! Nick is back. Then the first line “I think Brian is at our house.” I’ve actually read that in a tone like those of secret agents or involved in a forbidden organization or something, just like Shane West’s tone in the TV show Nikita. I honestly thought Nick was on his car or behind a tree hiding and doing a surveillance on his own home. Like he was pissed because Brian is at his house, and Brian would ruin his plan because he wouldn’t be able to get the secret microchip or black book or something very important he left at his house. See? I think I have thought of a whole chapter just by reading that one line, this is what you are doing to us. We speculate our own theories. lol Then when I continued reading their “dumb” or can also be referred to as they-doesn’t-know-Nick-was-supposed-to-be-dead kind of conversation, I laughed. I was like, really, Nick? It was all over the internet, the news, millions of girls couldn’t eat, sleep and go to work because they are depressed and mourning, and you don’t know you’re supposed to be dead? lol I love this chapter! I love Nick (But, dude, take easy on AJ, alright? I’m pretty sure he has no intentions to be part of Frick and Frack. lol) And I would surely love the drama that will develop in the next chapter. You did an excellent job! :)
Author's Response: I'm not sure if non-dramatic is an official term, but it sounds good to me! I thoroughly enjoyed your scenario about Nick being all secret agent-ish and scoping out his own house. I can totally see him crouching behind a tree and cursing Brian for showing up and ruining his plan. Perhaps you should take that idea and turn it into a full story. :) Your comment about millions of girls not being able to eat, sleep, and go to work had me laughing like crazy!! If this were to actually happen, I could totally see the fans taking their mourning to that extreme.

YAY!!! This chapter was a nice surprise! I didn't think we'd find out where Nick was so soon, and I'm surprised to find that he and Lauren are just fine! I'm glad you explained where they'd been and why they were out of contact. I spent the first quarter of the chapter or so screaming at Lauren, "Why wouldn't you answer your phone?!?!" until you explained about the cleanse. Still, you'd think she would have gotten worried when the guys kept calling and calling her! I loved AJ's and Brian's reactions to Nick showing up! That was so satisfying to read. I can't wait for Kevin's and Howie's reactions, hopefully in the next chapter. I'm also still wondering what's going on with that body - why/how did he have Nick's identification and look similar enough to be mistaken for Nick?! Can't wait for more!

LOL - I thought that the cleanse idea was perfect for Lauren. She's so health conscious that it seems at least somewhat probable that she could get roped into doing something like that. Holy hell he's back!!! WOW!! I was like "NICK!" when I read the title to the new chapter! Well..that explains WHY Nick and Lauren weren't replying but why the HELL didn't ANY of them leave any messages? That makes no sense! And what about the efforts of the police to try to reach her? Its all still so odd. Now to find out who it wsa that was found and why he must have looked so much like Nick. Can't wait to read the rest of the Boys' reactions and what really is going on!
