Awwww! As someone who used to freaking LOVE the Frick and Frack bond at its strongest I really love that you've worked on bringing it back and it doesn't feel contrived. I want to know more about Brian/Leighanne but that can wait lol.

Aww, this was such a heartfelt Frick and Frack chapter! I loved it! I would never wish bad things for Brian's marriage, but I'd like to think he and Nick have had conversations like this. They have seemed closer the past couple of years, but then again, the whole group has. Anyway, I like how you've written their friendship.
Author's Response: I really do love the whole Frick and Frack relationship (regardless of whether or not it is manufactured for the fans' benefit). Like you, I'd like to think that they could have these kind of chats as well. It warms my heart to see how close the whole group has been lately. :D

Author's Response: Every once and a while I like to have Brian drop the f-bomb. :) I have a friend who is married to a British man and she always uses the word "cow" to describe people. It cracks me up every time!

This was a very sweet Frick and Frack chapter. As I have said, I LIVE for these :))) this seemed real to me because Nick and Brian do seem to be closer again in real life as well, so it kind of makes sense because Nick is more mature now. I love how you write these two. Amazing job.

This was a very "aww" worthy chapter. I admit, I'm not a huge fan of Brian the person because of the things you alluded to when he was apologizing to Nick in this chapter. I would really love for those words to actually come out of his mouth one day. The whole idea of Frick and Frack I've always found lovely though. I think you did an excellent job of showing their relationship along with the jealousy that AJ's presence must sometimes bring.
Author's Response: I, too, would love to hear Brian actually speak those words. Although, I would probably fall on the floor in amazement if he actually said them. I love the whole Frick and Frack element of their relationship. They have seemed to be getting closer again (at least somewhat) during their most recent appearances, and that makes me beyond happy. :)

Just found the review comments page... thanks for your replies! Finally getting back to this story after some crazy deadlines.
I really enjoyed this chapter, both for the Nick/Brian scene and how it established the evolution of their friendship up to now and dealt with the ramifications of recent events. Their need for each other's presence seems very realistic, and I'm glad that Brian is choosing to stay there for now. Wondering also how the Nick/Brian/AJ dynamic will develop... I think you should continue it!
Has anyone dealt with the logistics of telling immediate relatives that Nick is not dead? I'm also hoping you'll consider keeping him deceased in the public eye to draw out the attacker and further the police investigation. :)

I feel as though it's an interesting one to explore. I have just posted the next chapter and I feel as though you have already read it. You were bang on in your comment about the police asking them to keep Nick's re-appearance a secret. Did you somehow manage to gain access to my file?!?! LOL

Yay I miss Frick and Frack. The funny thing is, AJ is a very messed up person too so why could there be an A-Rok but Brian pushes Nick away for his mistakes? Very frustrating. I think that things will slowly go down hill for the story. Not in a bad way but I mean danger. You couldn't have written a start to a story like that and then be BAM Nick is alive and ok.
Author's Response: You're right. I wouldn't have started a story so dramatically just to end it in such an anti-climatic fashion. There is definitely some danger lurking just around the corner. In response to the whole Brian/AJ vs Brian/Nick relationship, I think it has to do with how "public" their respective friendships are. I've always sensed that Brian and AJ are close, but they kind of keep it "hidden". Whereas the whole Frick and Frack thing is so publicized that I feel that Brian would try to disassociate himself from Nick's equally public bad behavoiur as people are more likely to tie the two of them together. Weird? -- YES!! LOL
