There's something totally fishy going on here. The cops show up with two guys who come "recommended"? They're letting the guys split up and no one is going to stay with them in the house? Why is Kevin going with Nick?

Author's Response: I like that you have so many questions at this point. Don't worry, they will all be answered as you continue to read on. I'm not going to give anything away though ... sorry!

LMFAO I love the ending on this. Kevin and Nick are fun for interactions cause you can always use them for some nice comic relief. I'm with Nick, there's a reason they split them up the way they did. I'm curious as to how.

Author's Response: I love the Kevin/Nick pairing. Like you said, they're always good for comic relief. They wouldn't butt heads so much if they weren't so freaking similar!

LOL at the comments about Kevin's driving like a senior citizen. I'm kind of surprised they all agreed to go into hiding so quickly, but I guess anything to protect their families. I would have thought Nick, at least, would have argued more about not talking to Lauren before he left. How horrible for her to have to think he's dead just because he couldn't call her. Seems AJ is a bit jealous over Frick and Frack being back; I picked up on that in the last chapter too. That plus Nick and Kevin's bickering will make the group dynamic interesting as they're all stuck together LOL.

Author's Response: They did kind of agree to the whole situation rather quickly, but I suppose they all felt as though they really don't have much choice. If I were Lauren, I would legitimately lose my mind if I thought that my soon-to-be husband was dead! Good job noticing AJ's jealousy.

I am not sure what to think about their bodyguards but something tells me I should be suspicious. Or perhaps its just me being hopeful LOL. Poor AJ with no social media for a while, he will go crazy. i cannot imagine having no contact with anyone and going into hiding knowing someone is out to kill you.

Author's Response: Suspicious? Of Joey and Tony?? Hmmmmmm ... interesting ... I don't know if I would be able to cut myself off. I have an unhealthy attachment to my phone. However, if it was a life or death situation, I guess I wouldn't really have much choice.

Lol loved that last little part. Nice touch of humor there. And hey! I was kinda right about the whole witness protection thing! Woo hoo I am good.

Author's Response: Yes, you were right about the "witness protection" to an extent. I have to throw some humour in every once in a while or else I'll become too depressed! Some parts of this story are too "heavy". :P

I love that you have Kevin and Nick driving together. I was hoping for this and actually said YAY! because Nothing makes me happier than Kevin and Nick bondage...well bonding...bondage sounded just...wrong! LOL Anyway - I'm starting to think the 'cops' might be the bad guys in this. It's kind of odd that they would separate the guys from the wives because you would think the killer would use the wives to bring out the guys from hiding. (hopefully starting with the decapitation of Leighanne) It would make more sense to have the families go right into hiding along with the guys to keep tham all safe, so something doesn't quite feel right about that whole scenario plus how quickly they were asked to leave etc... And poor Nacho! Why can't we pack him up and take him along? Great update and I'm all caught up again! Woot!

Author's Response: You are indeed all caught up. (I just posted the next chapter. I meant to post it last week but life has been crazy with work and the Easter holiday.) Anyways, I'm thrilled that you are loving the idea of Nick and Kevin riding together. I have to admit that I was not the biggest Kevin fan during my early years in the fandom, but he has grown on me during the past year or so. I think it's because he left and I realized how lacking the group was without him. On a completely unrelated note, your decapitation comment made me LOL!! Do I sense a bit of dislike?? ;) I seriously enjoy all of the speculation that has been flying about surrounding who the "bad guys" might be. I love hearing what everyone is thinking!

This definitely got the plot moving along…. lots of implications I can see to what is happening right now. For instance, the detectives' stipulation of how to split up the guys, the no contacting families--it all seems like plausible precautions, but with the potential to go terribly wrong. Which is what I assume will happen, since this is a story. ;)
I thought the characterizations continue to be great; the only thing I wondered about is Brian's easy acquiescence to being separated from Nick. I definitely wonder what is going to happen during this drive to the safehouse. Conversations, losing people… I'm not ruling anything out.
Hope you'll post more soon!

Author's Response: I definitely used this chapter to introduce a little bit more of the plot. The next chapter will go back to the relationships between the boys and their thoughts, etc. Everything that has been set up in this chapter DOES have the potential to go horribly wrong, but will it?? LOL - Hopefully, I will be able to keep you guessing for a little bit.

I didn't read this initially because I just don't read FF about the boys being dead. I did keep tabs on it just because I felt like maybe he wasn't, and the feeling was correct. I was excited about the prospect of Nick possibly having to go into witness protection, but now it's all of them, that's going to be really interesting. I feel Nick is on to something as far the detectives knowing more than they're letting on. Picking driving arrangements...although I'm thrilled that Nick and Kevin are riding together. I hope it's a long car ride. lol

Author's Response: First, I just want to say thank you so much for keeping track of the story and for giving it a chance! I knew that I was running the risk of turning a lot of people off by presenting the idea that Nick was dead in the first chapter. Thankfully, quite a few people stuck around though! Now that the nasty business of Nick being dead has been cleared up, the real mystery surrounding the whole group can begin. It's so nice to be able to write all of them together. I hope that you continue to read and to enjoy where the story will go.

This is nice! I love the ending where nick & kevin has to be together. But it is saddening that they really will have no contact with their families outside. I can't shake the feeling that somehow the police might be involved, I hope not. cause that'll cause too much trouble but, itll also make the story much more adventurous. also, i feel that they might not be able to reach the safe house, safely. haha! i don't know. XD oh, you got me speculating. haha! this is wonderful. :) Thank you for updating quickly. :)

Author's Response: Sooooo glad that you are speculating about all of the horrible possibilities that might befall the boys. I had to find a way to integrate some "KICK" into this story, so that's part of the reason for having Kevin and Nick ride together. You're the second person to mention that the police might be involved .... hmmmmmmm.

First off, thank you for such a quick turn around on that update! The cut-off from their families is going to be hard on them... Well, kind of helps Brian, gives him a great excuse to continue to ignore his wife, lol. (at least on the wife front) Honestly, I'm not sure who to trust now, anyone and everyone is a suspect in my eyes now. Like those two security guards... What if they're bad guys? Paranoid much? Hehehe. I will continue to look forward to your updates. Your story gets more and more intriguing. You're awesome.

Author's Response: You're very welcome! Although, I am now slightly behind on the next update. Oooops! I seriously love that you're now questioning everybody's intentions. You're right to do so though. The boys should be equally suspicious, but I have a feeling that they won't be.
