LMAO this chapter was awesome. I always love the Kevin/Nick bond because they're more alike than they realize and I do think that's why they butt heads. I also love how Kevin's absolutely right, they can't make a decision worth shit LOL. Of course it ends up being the two they don't want going getting to go. My favorite thing about this story is how it's up to date but manages to feel like an old school story.
Author's Response: That was kind of my intention: to make it old but new all at the same time. I figured with them all being back together for IAWLT that it was time for some old school bromance/bonding to creep it's way to the forefront once again. I'm glad that you're into it.

I loved this chapter! Kevin and Nick bickering at the beginning, the argument over who would go grocery shopping at the end... I love scenes like that of just the guys interacting with each other, being guys. You do such a great job writing all of them! I'm surprised they're allowed to leave for something like groceries; even in a small town, they could be recognized. I wonder if anything will happen at the grocery store. Reading on!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I enjoy writing "normal/everyday" scenes probably more than anything else. There's just something so endearing about the thought of them all hanging out together and goofing off.

Nick and Brian go grocery shopping! Sounds like a fun date. You are making protective custody sound so appealing, I would very much like someone to try to kill me so I can go live in a place with a 72'TV and $3,000 cash for spending please. Can you make that happen? LOL Although I would NOT want to go grocery shopping. That is my idea of torture!! I loved reading Kevin's frustration in this chapter. I could see him doing everything you mentioned. Constantly biting his tongue but wanting to lash out. Nicely done! Author's Response: Well, I figured that it had to be protective custody Backstreet style!! - LOL - If I could actually make it happen, I would put myself in there too. Who wouldn't want an envelope full of cash just waiting to be spent?? I also dislike grocery shopping. I always buy too many snacks and not enough stuff to make an actual meal. It drives my husband crazy (although he would never offer to take over the shopping because he hates it just as much). I couldn't resist making Kevin have a little bit of an "I've had it with these people" moment. He always freaks out so well. :P I will think about the reading challenge and see what's involved. It seems interesting, but I don't really have that many stories to submit. Does that matter?

I thought you got the characterizations down pat in this chapter, and thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
Unless I'm mistaken, Howie's up next…. are we in for some house exploring? I'm surprised the guys haven't claimed bedrooms yet, but food is a pressing issue. Wondering how out in the sticks this place is and whether Frick and Frack will need disguises. :)

You're so good at guessing who's going to tell what part of the story. I already have most of the Howie chapter written, and he's the one who narrates about the guys looking around the house and choosing bedrooms. How do you do that?? - LOL

The humor in this chapter was great. I loved how annoyed Kevin was! I wonder what kind of hijinks Frick & frack will get into. I like seeing the guys all reunited and annoying poor ol' kevvy kev. Hahaha
