Oooh! I love a good crazy fan story. The bsbcrazies.net site and the idea that they may have killed the Nick look-alike on purpose to get the guys together is really interesting.

That website sounds like something fans would really do. There is a forum I am on and there is a thread just about the guys nipples. It wouldn't surprise me if people did do something this crazy honestly. I like how you presented the infformation to Brian Nick and AJ too. Brian trying to comfort Nick without words was pretty cute too. Great updates! Looking forward to more!

I found this to be a very thoughtful chapter. Or, maybe my impression is owing to how you portrayed Brian's extreme self-awareness throughout... which seemed fitting, given his previous issues you've alluded to and the detectives' theory that the guys' own conduct has somehow become a catalyst for the villain's psychotic behaviour.
I especially liked how you had Brian deliberately decide he didn't care. It's also great the way that Nick and AJ both grabbed onto him for support. He's definitely the 'leader' here, and more assertive in general: insisting that the detective tell them the information that has been withheld so far, for one thing.
The idea that the killer knew about and used Nick's doppelgänger to draw media attention makes sense in many ways; it certainly explains the shift in M.O. from apparently trying to kill them off one by one to now trying to round up the entire group.
Now with these clues about the villain's deliberate use of media and internet, as well as this supposed plan to have their suffering made public, I would assume she has some kind of livestreamed session in mind... Creepy.
In my opinion, how things go next will depend on whether the other detective or Joey returns to the house first. And maybe on Brian's headlock techniques. ;)

Author's Response: I enjoyed hearing all of your suspicions about what is to come. I find the suggestion of a live-stream session to be especially interesting. You will have to wait and see if you're right. You're the second person to refer to Brian as the "leader" in this chapter. I like how people have developed that perception of him, although I'm not quite sure if it was my intention. LOL Maybe I will run with it ...
I do mean "ruse" ... as a Canadian I tend to add a "u" to everything. HAHA!

I admit I lol'd at the website. There are a few forums that could easily change their name to coincide with the one you came up with and some people who post on those forums are crazy enough to do something like that. I am honestly scared for the boys sometimes just based on how eerily attached some people are to one or all of the guys. Just yikes!! Well this should be interesting now, to see Joey try to cover this up without giving himself away. He's kind of a moron so it should be fun to watch. LOL
Author's Response: There's no doubt in my mind that some people in the fandom are a bit too obsessed. It seems crazy to me that people are able to develop such an unhealthy infatuation with their favourite celebrities, but I know that it happens all the time. Strange!

I love how AJ & Nick sticks close to Brian, as if they see him as an older brother in this moment. looks like these kids has got to stand up for themselves starting now.
